My answer to this question has always been Magneto. There is so much potential in this day and age, as we are constantly surrounded by objects containing metal. Even our own bodies and blood.

Yes, but the movie took care of the blood thing by pointing out that the only way Magneto could really effectively control someone's blood is if they were directly injected with a shitton of iron. Most people don't have enough metallic elements in their bodies to be useful. Also, that would be horrifyingly painful to do to someone.
