I love 100 back and 100 free, those are my strongest.
Any swimmers here?

I used to be a swimmer; breast stroke was my favorite. I made to to the finals in high school with it at one point.
yay toxic!! My form stroke was breaststroke as well. It was my only stroke where I'd stand a chance at the Australian nationals.
generally, the greater the distance, the better i was.
50m - 30 secs
100m - 1.06
200m - 2.20
Gave up swimming about 4 years back now when I was in my final year of high school
Trained 14 hours a week, basically 2 session per day, 5-7am & 7-9pm,
morning sessions would usually be done in 50m laps, whilst the evening sessions would be done in 25m laps

Go back to the kitchen.
Is that all you can come up with?
I've seen much better from you man, you're losing it.
Back to the thread.
I was on my swimming team in high school and loved it, but now I just swim in our backyard pool. There really isn't a great community pool here, there's always kids swarming it.

Does nobody just enjoy swimming and not time themselves, not try to go quickly, just swim underwater? That's all I ever do, just leisurely push myself against the water and spin. It always feels so nice.
force of habit really, i only time myself at the end of a training session now.
I only do underwaters to train my lung capacity. =p
I don't really enjoy 'swimming for leisure'
I just feel guilty about not pushing myself and being lazy

Wow, thats a really intense workout schedule, but why do you only have 30 seconds for the 50 free? I swim about 4 times a week, 90 minutes per practice and my 50m is about a 28, but I really suck for my age (15 years old).yay toxic!! My form stroke was breaststroke as well. oh, those times were for my breaststroke. The fastest i ever got my 50m freestyle was a high 26. I usually swam 27s though.
Freestyle was my worst stroke after backstroke.

i'm 21, I stopped swimming competitively just before i turned 18.
I was at the peak of my game when I was 16-17.
As for the pro dive, I know what you're talking about but I don't think I can help you there,
I'm able to pull it off sometimes but I don't really think about technique besides to aim up and out when I push off the blocks

I don't mean to feed the stereotype. It's just true in this case.
