I had an OBE when I was very young, about 7, and can remember it plain as day. I was on vacation and woke up with a very high temperature started to hallucinate and then I felt as though I left my body and floated out the door and up the street a little bit I suddenly got scared and started crying so then snapped out of it. Was one of a weirdest experiences of my life.
Peace.
When you're that young, sometimes you're memory can play tricks on you. Put things where you want to believe them, especially for dreams and such. However, in no way am I denying you. If it was as weird as you say, it'd be hard to forget

As far as Astral Projections? I've had a couple, but all were drug induced. I may post more in detail at a later time, but it's probably doubtful.
Cheers!

I've had a couple OBE... one at 8 and one at 13. The one at 13 is much more memorable...I swear I was awake at the time and slowly was gravitating upward and backwards out of the ceiling/room... and I turned around and looked down and I saw my body lying there on the bed with my hand over my chest. As I was rising higher than the ceiling, I "Snapped" out of it and was back in my body with my hands grasping my chest with my chest hurting fairly badly. I could swear I was awake, but I can't think of any logical explanation other than dreaming.

Very interesting.
People who go out there on purpose always have the best stories. Why? They last a lot longer than people who accidentally have one. People who accidentally have one usually don't last long because they freak out.
Hahah, oh God. That made me laugh.

No doubt that people imagine it, or hallucinate it, but actually leaving your body doesn't happen.

Lucid dreaming is something I've tried to do but never really could. Maybe I need more deciation to it. I used to have a really fabulous guide that helped you learn it, but I never did...
I have tried past life regression meditation though. THAT was interesting/weird.

I wanna see someone place a card face down, without reading it, leave their body, read the card, and recall it when they come back.
You dont really need to do astral projection to do that, there are other ways, too weird for me to say...
This subject seems to follow me wherever I go... Well, for a while I tried to induce it, but there were some more important stuff that I needed to learn (quite in the same field of astral projections), so I ended up leaving astral projection behind. I did have a couple of experiences: The first one I was awake at my bed, and I closed my eyes, the dream came really fast, but as fast as it came it went away and suddenly (I had my eyes closed) I could see my bedroom, my body was frozen, I couldnt do anything but watch my room twist in front of me and getting far, around me I could see a purple corridor getting longer as my bedroom got tiny. I used all my strenght to come back, and when I opened my eyes my bedroom was just the way I saw it first.
The second time it happened, it was really late at night, I just had a terrible nightmare(a man was talking to me, then he was something like a devil and went inside of me) and woke up around 2-3 am, and I kept hearing that noise some people hear beforing getting into an astral projection. (sounds like a train inside your head). Whenever I closed my eyes I would hear the noise louder, my body would slowly stop to answer my commands, once or twice it froze and I had to do a lot of work to make it move. It was terrible, really terrible.
Before these two tries, I would be all like "I wanna do astral projection, its not that terrible, I know about all the stuff that lies on the astral plane, I shouldnt be afraid!", then I was like "Fuck, I dont want to do this again D=". And I would argue with my friend who does it naturally (about every other night) who would say "Fuck, I'm scared, I always try to stop" and I was like "You dont need to be afraid, let it flow".
So yea, that's my experience with astral projection. I definitely believe in it, I kinda want to do it, but whenever I start the body-freezing part I want to stop it lol. I also have 2 friends (who I know in real life) who do it naturally, one of them told me about astral projection and kinda introduced me to all this stuff(she's afraid, but she never stops it from happening), and the other just came to me randomly after he met me asking if I knew what it was (he doesnt even talk to many people about it, and it was like the first or second time we spoke to each other). I have plenty of internet friends who can do it easily and always do when they can.

Unless they enjoy nightmares. In which case, continue to believe you're leaving your body to go see stuff that doesn't exist

They have experienced projectors leave their body, go into another room and read numbers on a digital screen that constantly change at certain intervals. They are supposed to read the number and remember the time that they read the number. There is a clock, not digital, right next to the screen. When they return, they tell the numbers and times to see if they match.
I keep reading about them and similar ones done, but cannot find the actual experiment or any videos.

Same thing as to reaching an OBE or AP. Except they have methods of escaping your body.

Why? Please elaborate.Psychological studies have shown that besides car accidents and other such things, it is possible to induce "out of body experiences" with drugs.
That's all I am saying on that topic XD
Do you know if that is actually true?
I'll try it tonight. xP
Staying "awake" for those 20-30 minutes though sounds way too hard for me though. I fall asleep fairly quickly.

What I do to keep my mind awake, I lie there perfectly still, keeping focus on my body. I'll also watch the neurons that are in the eyes; the little lines and such you see when you close your eyes.
You'll lose focus and your mind will wander off, but as soon as you realize that it has, switch focus onto your body.
I dare you to open your eyes once you have reached sleep paralysis. You'll most likely never do it again x)

That's because they weren't real studies, and were never published.I keep reading about studies and experiments that have been done, but can't seem to find any of them on Google -.-

I've tried Lucid Dreaming, and I just don't have the discipline to build up my dream recall enough to go further into it, or keep up with the reality checks. I would love to be able to have LDs at will though. I could make some productive use of that time.
As for Astral Projection, I have my doubts about that.
