So I was just wondering, according to the NP rules, you are allowed to remake an account if you have one account frozen. If this is true, in theory if you got a shell account frozen you could still use your main account unscathed regardless right? This raises the question of why we have the proxy option on Abrosia. I'm sorry if this thread has been made before (I did a pretty thorough search but couldn't find anything). Proxies that are effective at what they are intended to do are both slow and hard to find, so why is it necessary to use them with shell accounts? Does NP specifically IP ban for players that use AB's?? Thanks for the help.

If TNT looks through the IP address you use without an proxy and sees that several accounts have been frozen for the same thing or similar they usually will IP ban you yes. That is why some people suggest to use proxies to reduce that factor.

the point of proxies is to keep the shell disconnected from your main to avoid a chain freeze. overall I think it's a waste of effort since if you are smart about how you use the programs you shouldn't get frozen anyway.

Proxies have a multitude of benefits.

    To answer your questions firstly:

If this is true, in theory if you got a shell account frozen you could still use your main account unscathed regardless right?
    - Yes, if you get one of your accounts frozen you can use your main and other shells that are still active. A lot of the time though TNT chain ices accounts so if you get frozen on a shell, theres a high chance your main and other shells are also getting frozen for the same reason.

Proxies that are effective at what they are intended to do are both slow and hard to find, so why is it necessary to use them with shell accounts?
    - They really aren't that hard to find, I can hook you up with several high quality proxy sites that will give you a realistic speed providing you aren't in some extremely remote part of the world you should be fine.

Does NP specifically IP ban for players that use AB's??
    - Yes, people have been IP banned for AB'ing before, but its not that common, usually I see IP bans for more "serious" offences i.e. hacking neopets site/features in some way or using illegitimate means to access others accounts.

Proxies are mainly used for when you want to keep an AB'ing account completely separate from any of your other accounts, so in the event of a freeze your main will stay safe.

Theres many other reasons people also use proxies, like to have more than the allowed number or accounts to store pets, or to have a secondary main account etc etc.

There's some usefull information along with some links you might find handy in my guide linked in my signature below. Hope I could help! :)
