The region you're in usually coincides with the rapper people like. People that live up north tend to not like these south people haha

Wow, people astonish me.
No EzE or NWA? No Wu-Tang? No Dead Prez?!
Even the Beastie Boys deserve recognition.

It seems that people who "don't really like rap" just choose Eminem.

Probably because that's the only rapper they know.

This.

Catch up on your Black History.

It's not between North and South, the enemies are West Coast and East Coast kiddo.

Pretty much any act associated with Rhymesayers is amazing. Atmosphere, Grieves, Brother Ali, Bluprint, all the good shit comes from Rhymesayers.

Eminem, Immortal Technique, Lil Wayne, T.I., Jay Z, Kanye, Drake, Jeezy in no particular order

Eminem - Says everything

Immortal Technique - Maybe too aggressive sometimes but has a good message and sounds good.

Lil Wayne - No message, same shit but sounds good. Kapeesh.

T.I. - Even when he talks normally it makes a song.

Jay Z - Says everything

Kanye - Sounds good, fuck the douchebaggery

Drake - Hometown kid hope he makes it far. Most especially I hope he separates from Lil Wayne

Jeezy - Yooooo

Lol @ B.O.B. reference. Hope that airplane crashes that faggot nigga B.O.B. was in. 50 cent is fucking garbage.

Mac Miller is probably my favorite "new" rapper

Lil Wayne has swag and flow but he doesn't write most of his lyrics, so I can't consider him the "best"

Lupe Fiasco / Nas would be my general choice...meaningful lyrics, good flow, sometimes trippy beats(lol).

A lot of people want to hate on rap when they don't even listen to some of the lyrics closely. If they did their mind would be blown.

This is how I feel:
People need to pull up them drawers and make up their own music instead of sampling everything known to man.

You of all people should know a genre isn't defined by a select few mainstream artists or what clothes they wear.

But I do agree with you there. Pull your pants up Jamal!

boosie and webbie? LOL u serious? not evennnn
too many people fall in love with wayne n drake cuz they have a good flow....but they're nowhere near the best lyricists in rap....listen to lupe, jayz, kanye, and the GOAT IMO nas and then you'll hear a real lyricist.....wayne and drake are good MUSICIANS, but they arent the best rappers...it's 2 different things....too many people consider wayne the best rapper because his songs use good beats and production...anyone can rap over a nice beat....and not to say that wayne and drake dont make good music, because they do, but they're no lyricists

I favor Machine Gun Kelly. I met him and he was super nice so that boosted him up a little. He's also very awesome live.
