I've had my habitarium for awhile
but I seem to be having difficulties keeping my cute petpetpets alive x-x
I try to give them adequate food, but being Neopets won't let us manually control their actions (like make them harvest grass or make them get water), it's a little difficult to say the least....

Any tips for feeding them and keeping them from dying essentially? lol

there's no real tips for keeping them from dying (they day after ~1 week iirc)
also you don't have to feed them

my personal tips to get the most out of habitarium are however:
    1) keep it open as long as possible (once you close, they stop doing anything, but still age)
    2) put them into houses for at least 5 minutes once a day (cures hunger, tiredness and health)
    3) have enough nesters to guarantee you have enough P3s in the future
    4) only have as many nesters and soldiers as necessary (3 each should be sufficient at the beginning, 6 each at the end)
    5) block the entraces to the storages - your P3s will still collect ressources, but they won't walk around which means less animations played
    6) place your superflous eggs in the habitarium and discard them there - that way you get 200 exp compared to absolutely nothing when you discard them in your inventory
    7) never buy food nor decoration (except to block storage entrances) as they're totally pointless and just slow things down :p

Double click gems, you get 1k per. I've been doing it for months with no freeze.

You can encourage the p3's to do things you want if you keep picking them up and setting them near what you want them to do i.e. water grass.

I got to level 50 in less than 2 weeks. Here's what you do:
Get 5 nesters but put 6 nests so you can move them around.
5 soldiers MAX. Also use them to repair buildings if you need b/c they only sit around.
    Everyone else workers.

Put storages NEXT to the workers means less time to move= harvest faster.

Also check neoboards for gifts. Lots of people will gift you stuff, which means you level up even faster. IE. storages, nests, and stuff.

Pests usually come out if you have a lot of food left out. So later on, put lots of food out so they'll come and attack you. This means more exp.

Leave overnight-you don't have to worry about anything--unless you're cheating while doing this. But when I was legit I was still fine.

Also keep 5 soldier eggs and discard the rest until you need them. ONLY DISCARD SOLDIER EGGS. Unless you get tons of nesters. Nesters you can toss out too after 5.

I started really slow with habi as I hadn't read any guides, but since then have caught up quickly.

    My tips:

Don't feed them. Have enough housing for them + hospital and barracks to heal a few quickly should you need to. By putting them away when you're not playing and pulling them out when you have the game running, you don't need to buy food, energy or medicine.
Have your workers work only on stone, wood, and mud. They will stay tasked on these and only move when the storage is full. Either have enough storage that you can leave it running for a while without them filling, or buy bulidings (eg nests), upgrade and discard to earn xp.
Block off your storage behind fences or decorations, so the p3s can't reach them. It saves time from them walking to the storage and back, and they just keep gathering.
Keep your nesters nesting and discard eggs (from habi, not from inventory) for a quick 200xp when you are close to levelling up or you have way too many.
I leave it open and minimised when I can, so they keep working and I just check on them from time to time. You'll level up a lot faster that way.
Keep them fed, healthy and awake as much as you can so when they end their life cycle they will give you more xp. If you neglect them regularly they give you less xp.

I got to lvl 50 in a week. But I'm no longer playing zzz.
    Anyhow, it's really easy.
Always have as many workers as you can but don't forget the nesters! You need the nesters to produce workers, after all. xD Keep all of the worker eggs for future use and some soldiers and nesters.

    K, now for the tips.

    1) To reduce lag and maximise efficiency.

    BLOCK YOUR STORAGES.

This means surrounding your storages with decorations so your P3s cannot access them so it restricts their movements and they won't move as much to the storages. I don't think it influences the speed your P3s harvest but it definitely reduces the lag and makes them easier to organise. Well, that's what most guides suggest.
But personally I choose to block my P3s movements instead. (ie I surround my resource tiles with storages and place my P3 smack in the middle so that the P3 stays in the exact same spot and continuously harvests.
If this is too hard for you to understand, basically just make your p3s move as little as possible. If you still can't figure out how to. Just place your storages as close to your p3s as possible.
I may do a more comprehensive guide later if anybody wants one.

    2)
    Upgrades are important.

Upgrade your storages & houses as soon as you can. Esp storages since resources come flowing in really fast at higher levels. And you'll realise you won't have much space for houses at later levels due to the need for storages so UPGRADE your houses. At max upgrade I think the houses can house up to 7 P3s!!! :D

    3) If you want to lvl up fast,

    Leave habi on overnight.
I only did this at around lvl 35+. I would have achieved 50 faster if I had done so right from the start. But seriously, leaving it on overnight gives me 2 lvls @ around level 35. And at around 45+ around 1 lvl.

That's all I have for you.
Maybe I should make a guide. I need rep. :p

Leaving habitarium overnight conflicts with leaving the ABer on overnight. I usually go with the ABer though, cause more np that way.
But yeah, leaving the browser screen open is the fastest way to level.

I got bored of watching my P3's at like level 35ish. Moving them around was such a pain in the ass. :/But I heard it was really good money at level 50 when you can just harvest gems.

I'd prefer to keep habi open overnight over Aber, since if you're sitting up all night refreshing shops it looks kinda dodgy.

I've run into 'wall' with my Habit though :(
All my cute little petpetpets are too tired to work
    and they're very hungry
    My resources are low
So I think I'mma just have to 'wait it out' until they die D:
All of them are sleeping so nothing is being harvested D:

Don't you have a house for them to rest in? Put them in the house and they'll regain everything in due time.

I found that the AB gets restocked banned after 3 hours and Hab takes 4-5 hours to fill with gems, and also during the day a lot more ppl are on so shops have more empty slots for items to restock.

I also build storages around my workers, so that they can't move where else.
On the straight are storages and sources.
On the diagonals are some food refreshment.
They can eat if they need to but can't free themself while eating :3

What I believe is the most important:

    -Don't bother buying food.
-Run it overnight while you sleep.
-Check in with it every 8 hours to let them sleep for a few minutes.

I also hatch all my eggs at the same time, then they all die later at the same time, and then I hatch all new eggs. Just keep a healthy supply of eggs stashed away. This allows you to not worry about them dying for long periods of time and you can plan accordingly.
