This has never happened before. I'm scared. Posted Image

Hotspot shield just randomly disconnected. O_o I trusted that program. D:

I know it WAS on, because I compulsively go to IP check websites. And it said Amite, Louisiana.. Then I was playing ICM with cheat engine and saw the icon was red. I immediately donated all my profits and valuables and self iced. But I'm still nervous. :(

Is there another free VPN that's more reliable? Posted Image That makes all connections go through it? (like with auto buyers and other programs; want to make sure they go through the proxy)

isn't hotspot shield fairly weak as far as anonymity goes anyway?

No such thing as a VPN or any proxy for that matter which is both free and reliable. You can have one, but not both.
If you used a proxy however, free or premium, it would not expose your IP if it dropped the connection. It would just stop loading pages.
I recommend checking out the proxy lists at Hidemyass.com.

but I was still logged in.. And had an internet connection. I'm not sure if it hicup'd or what. It does that (though rare).

And I've checked anonymity sites and they would say the anonymity was high if I was using a proxy at all. :)

Would hide my ass work? Is that high anonymity?
    What about this list? http://www.aliveprox...ity-proxy-list/

But how do I use them? :/

Oh and what if I use a VPN and an online proxy?

As long as you didn't load a page or do anything while it wasn't connected they won't have your IP.

agree! nothing would happen.. self icing makes things even more suspicious. Even when i missed out putting in a proxy sometimes I am still safe unless I get a score reviewed or ab too fast etc.... Even if TNT logs the ip.. the chances of them reviewing your acc for no reason is almost nil

Well, I don't think they would suspect me of cheating as I had scores reviewed and accepted.

The only thing would be multiple accounting, and it seems that falls through the cracks pretty easy. My friend multi's without a proxy and has been doing so for a long time. :)

How long before I would know if they know? D:
That is, how long before I'd find myself frozen?

You worry too much... I expose my IP on accident ALL the time and absolutely NOTHING happens Posted Image
You shouldn't have done all of that. Ah well, you'll learn next time XD

You're right. :) I'm sure I'll be fine. I've made MULTIPLE accounts to get anchor management and froze along the way, sending map pieces to one account. And that account was fine..

I'm not frozen yet, and I probably would be right now if I was going to be? I'll just try to forget about it.. But now, how do I hide my real information? I need to figure out a good way to do so before trying again with side shells. I should almost take my old laptop to a coffee place and just do all my cheating there. o.o'

They aren't that strict with multiple accounts.
If they were that parnoic, they would take away legit players logging on schools or similar situations.

Also loading a page or two isn't big deal. A legit player could log in his friends connection.

However, since you just donated everything and self iced that account, you may be flagged as a possible account stealer :shifty:

If it was only for a little while you would have probably been fine either way. But it's ok either way, you should be alright :)

I would recommend HMA over that list.
With HMA you can see the speed, location, and anonymity levels clearly, and the list is updated by the minute.
They have quite a few fast ones that have High +KA anonymity level (the highest, I think?)
