I'm thinking it's their family and neighbours and they kept them in the barn because the house owner guy doesn't seem to like violence rather than because they think they can save them.

I suspect the lack of action might be down to budget constraints compared with the first series. Hopefully they're saving up for some big budget action later on.

I'm inclined to agree with Abradix in thinking tat the zombies in the barn are family members who Hershel wishes to save once a cure gets discovered. Otis didn't seem to have a problem killing zombies when he was out with Shane, so I don't see why Hershel would either.

How many local family members do they have? There must have been like 15-20 zombies in that barn. Then there's also the facts that Hershel didn't want any guns to be used on his land and his daughter had never seen a zombie being killed until they killed the one which was in the well. We also don't see any piles of zombies or evidence of mass graves around so where would they have put all the zombies killed over the past few months? Perhaps we'll find out in the next episode.

T-Dog got some points from me this week. Not only did he go into the woods to find the kid still hurt, but he put up with Andrea on his team.

They need to give up on Sofia. It's lost, get over it.

Bitch needs to keep her legs shut.. She wasn't hot in Prison Break, she's not hot here. The idea of a bitchy Lori + asshole Shane baby sucks. Andrea's hotter. Amy was hottest. Well.. IDK, farmer's daughter is uptight, but pretty cute.

Rick needs to grow a pair.

Andrea is no longer my second favorite. Bitch almost killed my dirty redneck. That sucked.

Sofia's mom kissing Daryl was cute. I still don't like her, but at least she can respect a bad ass.

Glenn is now my second favorite. He's awesome. Dale is now my third favorite. If the world ended, I'd keep his ass alive for moral support and comic relief.

Also, we recorded this episode and watched it later. Fast-forwarding through commercials, we watched a total of 22 minutes... WTF? If you're gonna skimp that much on the show, at least give us some progress...

Where else would they do it? They're living on a farm with only small towns around and with having no action for months they're probably both as horny as hell. It seems like an acceptable place to have sex in those circumstances, I find it more surprising that they only got through one condom.

I was glad to see things starting to get moving again with the most recent episode (all hail king Daryl, even if he does start hallucinating), but dear christ I would've bashed Andrea's empty fucking head in if I watched her shoot him. Not just shoot him, but MISS. I have a ton of military family and we're all natural marksmen (which is scary) and we agree, even an average shooter should've been able to make that headshot easy-peasy. She had a scope and everything and he wasn't THAT far away! Christ, useless bitch.

Also, even having not read the comics, I knew Hershel had to be harboring zombies to cure later somewhere. He's just too hopeful and full of shit ("that's what they said about AIDS" my ass) for anything else.

I just didn't care about Sophia. I didn't when she was on the screen (barely) and I don't now. I hope she's a zombie and they have to kill her. I like her mom, though, since she's the only one trying to have some basic human decency without being totally unreasonable about it like Lori ("this is a graveyard"? Really? No. Graveyards have no useful supplies. I'm thirsty, I need clothes, and I don't give a rat's ass whether the dead people are naked).

WHERE THE FUCK IS MERLE. For god's sake, AMC. Either bring him back or don't but stop mocking us. I actually care whether or not Merle's alive or dead. Sophia? Not so much.

I genuinely hope Lori dies. I just want her to stop introducing these stupid problems into the show. You're pregnant? Well, that's what happens when you get to boning in the woods with your as-far-as-you-know dead husband's best friend. Either start punching yourself in the stomach every few minutes or fess up and get moving. There is no time for this bullshit.

Normally I'd be mad about the pharmacy sexytimes, but to be honest, it's Glen's biggest reward in the show, so I'm gonna be lenient, because Glen is delightful and pimp (still got that rope on? Like a boss).

I'll just say it: I hate T-dog. I hate how they've made him a bit character who's made no impact on the show AT ALL. Except for that line about shooting the zombie. That was great. But seriously? Boo. And dear lord his name is stupid. Why didn't they give him a real name? He's gonna be "T-Dog the Token Black Guy" the whole show? At least in Left 4 Dead the black guy's name was Lewis. He sucked too, but that's because being relentlessly upbeat in a zombie apocalypse is taunting the cosmos to kill you and everyone around you. T-dog does nothing but bitch and get hurt (and not even the zombie-bit-me kind of hurt where some form of character development might actually occur) and pick up the plot devices from time to time.

Finally, for those who excuse what Shane did to Otis as being necessary, but not necessarily evil, don't ignore one crucial detail: He could've just shot Otis in the head. But instead, he shot him in the kneecap. Shane didn't kill Otis, he crippled him to be eaten alive. That's fucking horrible. Fuck Shane. Fuck him with a railroad spike.

I love Daryl and everything about Daryl and everything Daryl says and does. I want to make hardcore tracker-hunter-killer babies with Daryl. Yes.

As per Faerhii's comment earlier, I too have noticed the actual episodes are getting shorter and shorter, and commercials are getting longer and longer. At this point its like watching commercials with some Walking Dead sprinkled in there. Getting kinda ridiculous

At the rate they are doing this nothing interesting is ever going to happen in the show

I think now that its becoming very popular they are trying to make a larger profit by adding more ad time where as in the first season/first episodes they were trying to get people hooked w/ a lot of actual show time w/ lots of gore and zombies to low amounts of advertisements

aka not worth watching anymore. I haven't seen the last two episodes, and I am increasingly finding it more difficult to justify watching the series as well anymore.

My friend who loves the novels says he actually enjoys the second season more because he felt the first season was too flashy and not what "The Walking Dead" was truly about. Now it's better reflects the novels.

I wouldn't know though, havent read the books.

Looks like my mom ordered what I had in our Amazon shopping cart and I'll be getting the book any day now. I'll let you know what's goin' on. I love it when she does that. Usually it's a surprise, like when I got my "Funky Monks" DVD in the mail after a long, horrible day.

This episode: Lori is the worst. Maggie is awesome. I know Dale isn't super popular or anything, but I like his beady eyes and his dentures.
