Oh hai dere. So I wanna take up baking (mostly because I have a friend who knows how to bake well and has given me permission to use his kitchen. I don't have a working oven. Also I spelled "oven" as "ovion" because I don't even have one) and needs recipes

I know people say "man you're lazy, asshole" but I don't want to go find recipes just anywhere and then find out that they're total shit. So I want GOOD recipes; either ones that you've done or family member have done that are just awesome.

The only thing I've ever tried is this:

It was godly.

Or this can just be a place to share other recipes. I'm drooling a little bit over that cheesecake... *mops off drool*

    Starting out simple: http://allrecipes.co...ies/detail.aspx
A lot tastier than the picture looks, this is definitely the best (standard) brownie recipe I've found.

    chocolate chip hazelnut cookieshttp://www.foodnetwo...ipe2/index.html

pretty easy to make! personally i like these cookies cold rather than warm but that may be personal preference. you can also substitute the hazelnuts for whatever nuts you like, dont think it changes much but the name. have fun!

Tasty Buns. Start them about 2.5 hours before you need them. They are amazing.

Fruit Cobbler (easiest thing in the world)
    Spoiler

Chemical Apple Pie (come on, I'm a scientist;))
    http://allrecipes.co...pie/detail.aspx
I'm famous in my family for making that ^^. My method is a little different but that's a good starter recipe.

I have so so so many more, but that's enough for now.

I've made these muffins about half a dozen time and they're pretty good :) i go a bit heavy on the lemon zest and blueberries for more flavor and the one time i used frozen blueberries it came out pretty gross so I'd stick to fresh

I think my friend and I settled on fudge (packing. D:), but I still wanna make Lamingtons haha. To which he responded "That's just sponge cake with chocolate". Except the word is 500x better than sponge cake :p

I never even heard of a Lamington before I came on this site.

Bog, I really hope that if you guys are going to attempt to make fudge, you seriously do your homework first. That is a difficult task even for people who are well versed in cooking.

Also, it's made on a stovetop, not in the oven. Booo

Lamingtons are an Australian specialty so it's rarely or even never seen in North America. Strat usually has some, if his son hasn't eaten them all :p

Okay Boggy, I'm letting you in on a secret.....anything you have in your closet can be made into a freaking awesome casserole.... My favorite, 2 cups of any types of shredded cheese, one pack frozen hash browns, half a container of sour cream, and two cups of corn flakes! Bake @ 350 for an hour and enjoy. Green beans are different though, cause they're part of the green bean casserole thing, you gotta use those, sour cream and french fried onions :o

Baked Mini Pumpkins (they taste like baked sweet potatoes but are prettier and festive)

Do they pay people to do that? If so, I could totally shove my ass in someone's face for a living. Of course, it might be a bit uncomfortable to be jabbed repeatedly in the face by my bony ass.
