I always feel weird around people who have just had someone close to them pass away. I never know what to say... I dont want to cheapen the situation by saying "i'm sorry I know what you must be going through" because I dont (I'm lucky, I know) However, I feel like I should say something along those lines to show that I do care. I usually just end up saying something along the lines of "I'm sorry or I'm sorry for your loss" but I always feel like its not enough...

I've never had the "sex talk" with my parents cX
My mom just let my brother
and I watch these Hong Kong shows with her and they included kissing & bed
scenes /not them *actually* having sex though of course!) since we were 8 and we
just kind of learned by ourselves I guess o:
/Although when I was 9 I thought
that just kissing somebody could make you pregnant cx.. misleading shows/scenes!
It just showed Shirley Yeung kissing somebody and then like a month later she
found out she was pregnant/

I'm 23 and my mom still tries to tell me that kissing boys will get me pregnant... I'm pretty sure she's said it so much, she might have convinced herself.

Not so much a specific subject, but a situation..
I find difficulty in talking to my current...uh, crush? I guess, via text message. She's got such a personality that I'm never sure of exactly the way something is supposed to come off, and I can never...ever think of anything to converse about. And when I see her at work, I can never think of anything to talk about so we just end up making awkward small talk. But in person and outside of work, the conversation flows excessively and conversation is never ending.
    hmph.

My real dad, he left when I was little and I always found it too awkward to ask questions about him, so I know absolutely nothing about him, not even his name :sorry:

I feel uncomfortable talking about why I deserve something... like with interviews..worst question ever: Tell me why we should hire/accept you to our program?

This, so much >.> The only reason I usually have for things like that is "because I want to" or something similar, hahaha...

I find it hard to talk to people I know in real life seriously. It's like to them, I think that everything is just a joke, but really I just don't think that life is something that needs to be stressed and worried about so I make from it what I can. On the internets, it's much easier to be serious, and I dont know why... probably because I don't have someones face I can look and laugh at.

I'm the exact opposite in real life xD I assume everyone on the internet is kidding but IRL I always assume people are more genuine with their words.

This ^ and sometimes they just don't need someone to say "I'm sorry" and stuff and it's awkward because you can't just say nothing. Well at least for me it is.
CRUSHES. I don't know how some people can tell their friends they like someone and be so normal about it. I'm a guy and when someone talks about me liking a person that I have a crush on, I blush. Posted Image

Edit: I talk to my crushes about normal stuff just fine though (because I'm already friends with them) But I cannot for the life of me tell them how I feel.

I'm not a hidden person in terms of how I feel or what's bothering me. I, in fact, have a terrible habit of venting too much. I've never really tried talking about my past, so I'm not exactly sure if that would work or not.

But I do not like the topic of sex - at all. I might as well admit, unless I know you and like you, I really don't want to talk about it. I hate when people just randomly put dick and pussy into a conversation. It seriously is not needed. stfu.

I also find it hard to talk about what my friends in art talk about - I have no idea what they're talking about, some rock, cars, the like, and I get lost a majority of the time. But I suppose that's more out of ignorance, rather than it being something I'm not comfortable with.

About my views on social issues, etc, where something isn't one sided.

I always feel myself falling into a facilitator role and being a neutral in a conversation, I usually take on a third person instead of talking about my own views. I just feel a lot of the time when ever I state my views on something I tend to push them onto someone.

    Spoiler

I also can never talk about sex with my parents. They tried once, I ran out of the room soooo fast

    This was like in August.

You ran out the room? lol

I agree that it's pretty awkward. xD

I'm the complete opposite of this. I'm very vocal about my views (sometimes to a fault). I have pretty strong views about various social issues and I know that it rubs people the wrong way when I tell them. I try to avoid pushing my ideas on them but sometimes I cross the line...usually when I call someone an idiot or something b/c they don't even acknowledge that I make some valid points. Yeah I'm a bitch like that.

cX Same here~~ I once confessed to somebody, but er.. it didn't end up too well..
Leave it to me to confess right before somebody is moving away x3 (Well, I knew he was moving away o: Idunno.. I just felt like telling him before he left X3?)

I don't know what to say when other people say that they/somebody else likes me either >n< ~~

I have a hard time with empathy. I mean - I know most of it is due to me being an apathetic bitch - but with select few people who I do care for and have tried to console I only end up exacerbating the situation and getting angry with them. I just don't see what people gain from complaining about things. If you have an issue, solve it. If you need to pour your emotions out, do it when it's not at the expense of others. And when that's done, do something productive.

My grandmother died a couple days ago, so this has been a particularly uncomfortable time for me. Not only was I the only one not crying at the funeral, but I expect everyone's emotions will be in full swing again come the holiday season. It's times like these that my computer really helps to distract me from all of it.

I'm feel the exact same! It's fine if I talk to my crush in a normal conversation, but I'm wayyy too chicken to tell them how I feel. :p

For me it's close affection, even just hugging/cuddling for more than a couple seconds can make me uncomfortable (I guess that's not really talking, but eh). I need my space. Or talking about love in general (how much you appreciate someone, can't live without them, think they're incredibly gorgeous, etc.). Which is why I think I'm not gonna do so well in future relationships. Probably has something to do with my childhood :sorry:

I find it really hard to talk about my past. I did some serious things that I regret, and if you ever asked me about it, I would start tearing up... :crybaby: But they say don't live in the past, so I surround myself with good friends and make the best of the present. You wouldn't believe the difference a simple gesture can make when I'm feeling depressed... :console:

That's kind of how I am when someone says they broke up with their boyfriend or girlfriend, possibly cuz I've never had a boyfriend or girlfriend.

Is there something, for whatever reason, you find difficult to talk about?

For me, it's how much I appreciate someone to their face. like I never tell my friends how much I appreciate them, same with family, or even people online. I dunno why, but it just seems unnatural to me. As a result people tend to think I'm an unappreciative asshole, but I just find it REALLY difficult to share my true feelings of how I feel about someone.

Do you have one? Sex? Financial circumstance? Your past? Your future? Your weight? Anything?

You & me are the exact opposite with that.
Lol I find it hard NOT to tell people how much i love them / enjoy being their friend / how awesome they are & how much they mean to me among other random compliments.

I have a really hard time telling people about my past that's about it. I don't really like talking about myself that much either, but I do it on occasion.
