Hitchens, the author, essayist and polemicist who waged verbal and occasional physical battle on behalf of causes left and right, died Thursday night at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston of pneumonia, a complication of his esophageal cancer, according to a statement from Vanity Fair magazine. He was 62.

Hitchens may not have believed in immortality, but he will certainly achieve it through his writing and speech... and everytime I light up a cigarette and sip Johnnie Walker Black. RIP.

Burning in hell no doubt.

Spoiler

I always liked Christopher Hitchens, it's sad to see him go. Whenever I think of a stereotypical author I always pictured Hitchens with a bottle of booze next to him and a cigarette in his hand rambling about organized religion polluting mankind.

Burning in hell no doubt.

Apparently #GodIsNotGreat(his book) started "trending"(whatever that means in twit speak) on twitter and got taken down from religious because were getting angry thereby proving the book's point.
