I think about 70k later I got it. Guess I was lucky! I just did it all in one go, was gonna stop at 100k to try another day but thank goodness.

I've spent about 10k trying to get this avatar and no luck So out of curiosity, how many np did you spend before getting the avvie?

 

Do you actually have to spend np to get it because if you have less than 100 or something it doesn't take away any np

You need to have the np out, yes.

 

Or you just get this response:  How odd. Nothing happens when you pull the lever.

I spent 150k before I finally got it. It's a tedious avatar unless you use a userscript or something.

A friend of mine spent 70k before getting the avy, and I have no clue of how much I spent. But I decided to play it a few times a day like it was a daily, and I got it in the third day (:

I spent around 20k... just hold down the F5 button and wait a few minutes. Check it, do it again, until you get it

I got it the same day as kelp, just as I was about to give up on both. I used around 100k on LoD, and probably a couple mil on kelp. ugh

 

Oh, but I heard the f5 trick doesnt work. It didnt work for me either.

There is no "best way". You're not more likely to get it by spending a little every day, and you're not more likely to get it by spending a lot at once.

That's hardly a system.

The best way to do it is just whatever works for you. I would never remember to do it daily. So I did a few days of spending 30-50k at a time. That is the best way for me. There is no best way overall though, since it is luck based. Just do what you need to to do it.
