Hey guys! As of right now (3/7/2012) a solar flare is heading directly towards earth! This cloud of charged particles will mess with electronics and gps devices. However this presents a rare opportunity to see the northern lights much further south than they can normally be seen! So who's gonna keep an eye out for pretty lights?

That's pretty neat!! I haven't seen the Northern Lights before, so it'd be pretty cool to see them from here! (yay living in the middle of nowhere! )

Hmmm I missed that one but cnn said more to come I think ...should I be worried about my electronics?

Its not over yet guys! Another flare is coming our way! Expected to arrive on March 11, so keep an eye out!

I saw some pictures on the solar flares just now. Hopefully when this intensify next year, we would be able to see it clearly. not to mention seeing planes grounded etc.

Hey guys, This weekend is the annual Lyrid meteor shower. So if you have clear and starry nights (not here in NY, goddam rain) look up into the night skys

Yeah! It just started being the clearest here. (CST in the United States. NE sky) I love meteor showers.
