I support 'purging' pet names that haven't been used for 5+ years, but not accounts and it HAS to be a 5 year minimum. It's fucking TNT though--everything they read goes over their head rather than in it. Nymh will probably respond in some more formal mature manner to this post, so you can wait on the etymology of my reply from her.

So you'd keep the accounts just purge the pets on them?
I feel like there are way too many issues with that :(, they'd never agree to it.

They should just dump the pets in the pound on an as exist basis, and allow a feature to recapitalize names and such.
But that'd just be awesome, and they'd never promote keeping uc's.

Well yeah if the person made an account and paid money on it and never did anything wrong--as far as I know they could sue Neopets for taking something that was "theirs that they had payed for" when they clearly didn't break any rules in the Neopets Rules and Code of conduct. They'd argue that it says they can confiscate your account to 'purge' it, but then you could argue that that didn't exist when you had stopped playing (TEMPORARILY) 5 years ago :p

As for pets, that wouldn't be that much of an issue-- it's only fair if the original owner comes back to playing that TNT 're-purge' them and give them back. But again, its fucking TNT they care about nothing other than freezing "CHEATERS."
