Hi, I used to have an account and stopped playing for about a year or two. Months ago I made a new account (main) with the same IP. I am curious, If i begin using my first account but with a proxy, is it dangerous to my main?
Use old unactive account that had main's IP.

It all depends on what you want to do on both accounts? If you're going to cheat on either of them, its a good idea to use a proxy.

Well i wanted to use my old account as an ABing account because my i don't want my main to be frozen. If it gets frozen using a proxy, can they see past IP's and connect them to my main and chain freeze? It all depends on what you want to do on both accounts? There's always that risk when using multiple accounts and cheating on at least one of them. I would suggest using a Highly Anonymous proxy but even then, you run the risk of them finding both your accounts an chain icing. It certainly is a lot safer than NOT using a proxy though (for obvious reasons).

Also try to make sure both accounts are not under the same email address.
Different passwords help too.

Curious, is there any evidence of this? I hate how Neopets stores our password... (as apposed to MD5 hashing your username and password together)

Woah, I remembered they have the same password... You may have just saved me

Should I change my main's password, old ones or is it too risky?
Try not to overthink things with these sorts of changes. Just do it on the old account. There would be little to no risk whatsoever doing that. People change their passwords all the time. I doubt TNT would bother to dig around....

I'm only going on what I've heard, so I guess not, but it wouldn't hurt.

For future reference, MD5 is essentially broken.
