I just started the first book and I have to say I like it already, the maps at the start are so cute, reminds me of lord of the rings.

Well, obviously the books are better, because they can delve more into the motivations and unsaid facets of the tale.
But I think the adaptation is certainly one of the best around, and the books and the show each enhance the other.

Well, the exact thing happens in the books (albeit at a different time, and for a different reason), and it didn't seem to hurt their sales much.
I thought that scene was pretty much exactly how I imagined it while reading.

Those pictures are perfect especially concerning Tyrion Lannister Never thought I'd have such a crush But the way he threatened Joffrey's guard (Joffrey is such a little cunt - ugh, but a good evil character) and blackmailed his cousin into spying for him was fantastic, Dinklage is a brilliant actor.

Also loved the scene with Lord Baelish and Cat, I thought he was going to back down when she pulled that knife but nope, he goes and pulls out the 'we've got your kids' card.

I love this show so much ^-^

The dragons need to grow up faster although they are cute right now, the Khaleesi needs to look gorgeous more often because she's the only pretty chick in the whole show, Joffrey needs to get owned/slapped/kicked/injured a lot more, especially by Tyrion, Sam needs to say more too-adorable things, Arya needs to get her sword back and fight with it, and the dire wolves need to come on screen more, because they're cute.

And I need to pay more attention and try to follow everything that's going on because while I love the show, I'm not much good at keeping track of its politics.
