Hahah totally remember that!!! I would hide my gameboy pocket in my lap and play in 6th grade. That was 1999 though so the final year of the 90s

Im not a big fan of cell phones. Especially after working with lasers and stuff you see how dangerous the radiation is first hand. You feel much more peaceful without cell phones too though, no one calling you, no cell to dwindle on.

    I STILL have mine~

Ooh, that's awesome. Too bad it wasn't released in the United States. :C

I mostly remember Crazy Bones/Gogos. People cared a lot about "real" Gogo, meaning it was a color that matched the actual image. I didn't really care about "real" ones, as I traded a real (in this case, shiny grey) Jaws (or whatever the shark one was called) for a shiny light blue one. Also, Eggy was the best Gogo EVAR!

    http://en.wikipedia...._Bones_logo.jpg

Dunno what Wikipedia's policy is on hotlinking so I'll give the URL of the image instead.

I loved the Spice Girls, Hanson, and Nsync. Was never a BSB fan. They weren't as fun as Nsync.

I remember wearing flannels even though I live in fucking south Texas.

Watching Mystery Science Theater and reruns of Dark Shadows on Sci-Fi religiously. I recall a time when Jon Stewart was NOT the host of the Daily Show. I would watch Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Drew Carey Show (I hated Drew, but loved everyone else), Seinfeld, Frasier, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Daria, Nicktoons, Bill Nye, videos on VH1, the Tick... holy shit I just now realized how most of my life was spent watching tv..

My sister won a Furby in a drawing McDonalds had. It was very unlovable.

Oh my gosh Nymh yes I was addicted to the R L Stine books! I'd completely forgotten about those :p

I was addicted, too. I was always drawn to scary, morbid things as a child, even though I'm easily disturbed and have nightmares. I regret selling my entire Goosebumps collection at a garage sale after I'd "grown up". :(
Did you know they're redoing the illustrations for new editions of "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark"?
Apparently this awesomely morbid, dark artwork isn't child friendly. I'm sorry, but I feel it's just wrong to rob today's kids of the horror! The bloody, dripping, shadowy, spooky, disgusting horror! Thank goodness I still have my copies of this hidden away in the closet so they eyeless creatures can't come after me. At least I know any child of mine will be rightfully scarred for life.

I remember back in Gr 1, Polly Pocket, back in the day when they were clam shells with tiny little plastic people that fit in grooves, was one of the coolest things around for the girls in my class. This one girl would bring hers to class and everyone would take turns playing.

This is the one! We used to hold weddings every recess and lunch break, and I think the bridesmaid was screwing around with the groom. Ah, good times.

Yes. I was born in 84, so I do remember. I hated that dumb stick motherfucker, but my whole family loved Weinerville. It was so twisted and weird! My sister was totally fascinated by the puppetry, that she made her own little head-in-hole scenes out of cardboard boxes with the creepy little wire arms and legs. And I remember when Doug came on, my grandma would come into the room to watch because she ADORED Porkchop.

I was born in 88, so at least someone besides me remembers this crap. Nick in the Afternoon. I still watch Doug and all the other old cartoons. I don't really remember much about Weinerville except the one guy playing the man and the women. : / I guess I was too young to remember the actual content. I remember Roundhouse coming on, but I despised it for some reason.

I was absoloutley obsessed with Polly Pockets, and every day at like 4pm me and my next door neighbor would rush into the house to watch Pokemon! I was also obsessed with Pogo Sticks, which has already been mentioned. I remember I used to try and beat my brother with how many hops we could do.

Oh I remember way early in the 90s I would adjust the antenna that was broken to get superman and batman on channel 5. It was still real staticy.

Then on PAX I would watch Flipper and sometimes that dog show forgot what it was (golden lab with a boy) and before Flipper they would have this shop till you drop thing.

I went all of last summer without a cellphone. It wasn't really difficult but there was one time I had to resort to using a payphone when I urgently needed to call someone, and the fucking thing ate my quarters. The guy who worked at the news stand let me use his cellphone instead. Aside from that one incident it was all smooth sailings. And that was also the only time I noticed how scarce payphones are these days.

Remember the first story in the book where this was the front cover:
    Posted Image

I maybe thinking of the wrong one but it's about this girl who goes to visit her aunt or something and she has some weird out-of-body near-death experience with some phantom that lived at her aunt's place. The beauty of that story was(from what I recall) it never mentioned a ghost or spirit it just went on to describe how the girl was feeling and what was happening to her. For a kid that's pretty new and scary in itself because all horror stories up to that point tell you what kind of spooky stuff is inside. This one was really disturbed me, I read a bunch of the other books too but, as you can tell, that one's still stuck in my head.

Hahah yeah man I haven't used a pay phone since the 3rd grade!
But yeah it's not hard to live without a cell phone. The peace just comes from not being connected all the time.

Born in '89 and watched a LOT of TV as a kid, so I remember many of those Nick shows people mentioned. :p

The veery early 90's stuff I probably do not remember too well though. Like for instance, when New Kids on the Block were popular, I was still too young to give a shit. xD By the time I started caring about what was on the radio, grunge songs were starting to get popular (Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, etc...)... and things like Matchbox 20.

I remember overalls were in style. -_-

    Anyone remember Animorphs? :p

I remember when Matchbox 20 was very popular. (still listen to them every now and then)

I for some reason remember the fashion of the 90's pretty well. there was so much jeans everywhere and t-shirts stucked in your pants which went up right to under your boobs. i didn't have boobs yet at that time, but anyway.
