How much separation do you have between your legit/illegit accounts?

Just something I've been curious about, for those of us who keep a legit or semi-legit account (where no ABing occurs). Do you gift items between those two accounts? Or do you employ shell hopping? Or do you keep them completely separate, so chain freezes don't touch your main?

I'll have to admit that the reason I AB and cheat is so I can more quickly save up for the items I want for my main, but I am worried about how suspicious it might look if account B keeps sending high-end items to account A. Both are "main"-ish looking accounts on separate IPs, and I've sent myself neomails back and forth between the two, but is there is anything else I could do to lower the chances of a chain freeze?

Back when I was still playing, I only used one main account and it was illegit. Never frozen, and I sold it along with my pets before I quit. So there wasn't any need for 'external measures'. The only interaction from other accounts were those I bought NP from (with real world cookies) and they were usually in bulk from trustworthy sellers.

Score sending to get trophies on my main was the only ongoing illegit activity. With real world cookies (gained from trading other game currencies) used to purchase my nps, I was pretty much set.

Then I left neo because my UC plushie wasn't doing me any sexual favours.

I've only had to tranfer items/np twice because I haven't been playing that long. Both times I did it differently, I'm a really sloppy player.

First time I transferred np through trades and then the second I did it how you said with the neomails and what not but with an account inbetween. So it was from my abing account to a shell and waited and then from the shell to my main. To be honest I don't know why I did that, seemed safer to me.

I don't know if the extra account is good or not, but then again I'm not a hardcore player so I don't care that much.

By the way, I waited about a month inbetween transfers.

I have no separation at all! Just AB on my main and 1 direct shell. :)

I have no separation either. All my accounts are on the same ip, most of them were legit mains for a while before I turned them into AB accounts. I either shop snipe or just bid on trades to transfer stuff - if TNT finds it suspicious, they aren't doing anything about it. /knock on wood, don't wanna jinx myself xD

Auto buy on my main. That's it. Used to legit restock all the time, got morphing potions and stamps that were unbuyable. Close to 130 unbuyables legit(30m or so profits). After so long I started botting html games. Then moved to auto buying in shops.

Like a lot of other people who have responded, I also AB and otherwise cheat on my main. In addition to my main account I have a shell that is run on a VPS to build wealth; but that wealth is sold, never transferred to my main.

Everyone else took my answers T_T

My legit main is a crappy 50+ month account with 250+ avatars.

My previous illegit main (before selling it) had 310 avatars, completed DoN, etc.

I never transferred ABed wealth to my legit main, but with my current illegit main, I just transfer HT Swords and sell those. Never been frozen for multi-accounting or ABing that way.

I normally transfer to another shell and then offer full price on an inflated HTS in the main. Was never frozen before.

I find it really obvious when people do not play legit. Most people can pretty much tell when someone is cheating, for that reason I keep my main seperate from my sides. I just don't want to be viewed as a cheater on my main, or draw any extra attention by people reporting me out of jealousy.

Haha yep I completely agree. A lot of the time a crappy shell with an MPic trophy screams at me "Codex!" and I giggle to myself but really those people with otherwise shell accounts but loads of gold trophies/hundreds of expensive items in trades aren't doing themselves or anyone else favours.

As to the question. I got scammed recently on my semi-legit main so I self-froze and now I'm turning my ABing account into my main and be damned with 'legitimacy' :p

Gonna have to disagree here, I cheat on my main, Not too much just ab every now and again when i need np's and ss when i want a new trophie. But I have tons of friends who think im legit just because of the screenies abers take and that im a legit auction sniper/

To be perfectly blunt, I put as much distance and separation between my accounts as possible. My main accounts have 0% interaction with ANY of my other accounts, even each other.

See, I figure that's the only 100% safe way to protect my main. But then, what do I even cheat for, if not to make my main more awesome? XD It's the only account I'm actually attached to, in terms of wanting to buy pretty stuff and powerful weapons for my pets.

Sometimes I wonder if it's more or less suspicious if my main and cheating account were in the same guild. Seems it'd be easier to play off "Gifting a guildie" but then, that's one more connection between the two accounts.

It's probably separated enough but I still wouldn't be transferring anything. FAR safer to use very safe buy settings and cheat via AoB 5x scores for Neopoints on your main than it is to move to your main.

I AB on a shell account, then I put the item on my store for 1np or so, then I snip on my main. Using this for 2 months and my main is still safe so far.

    Read THIS.

This method you've described is a very reckless method of transferring items.

It depends on how you use this. People very often fail because they get greedy. If you transfer itens once in a blue moon, like me, you will be safe.
Think about the following situation: You put a Baby Paint Brush in your shop for 1 neopoint, obviously ANYONE would/could buy it. How can tnt be sure that the person who bought it is a cheater instead of just a lucky legit user?

But, you can never be sure, TNT has a known historic of freezing even those legit players...

Most accounts get a lucky snipe like that only ever very rarely because hardly no one tosses expensive ETS in their shops. So the same account getting a super good snipe more than once is kinda suspicious but what is really suspicious is when that account catches a super good snipe from the same account it had gotten a good ETS from before. Spacing it out isn't going to make a difference, you're setting off flags that will get you iced.

There are much safer methods for transferring than that.

Common sense dictates this one, TNT doesn't need to be very bright to see:

Main Account(IP:000.000.0.0) buys XXXX item from Shell Account(IP:111.111.1.1).
    Wait 2 months.
Main Account(IP:000.000.0.0) buys XXXX item from Shell Account(IP:111.111.1.1).
    Wait 3 weeks.
Main Account(IP:000.000.0.0) buys XXXX item from Shell Account(IP:111.111.1.1).
    Freeze account.

Patterns like this are incredibly easy to spot, if you're really bent on transferring via shops like this then make sure that you never get from the same shop.

A little common sense goes a long way.

your ''bot'' accounts should really have nothing to do with your legit, you should create a new account for Transfering that hasnt botted to act as a scapegoat
