Mmmm.... I don't really want to go into detail about it, but almost all of my family relationships are a big steaming pile of crap ^_^

Things are alright with mom I guess, not great but not terrible either. She tends to really overreact to the slightest thing, so I haven't really been able to talk to her much about things happening in my life.... For dad, he has a huge problem with me for some reason??? and he's been hating me more and more as the years go by. Like back when I was 12, he would call every Sunday and ask how my week was. Now I can't even talk to him without him throwing a huge fit over nothing and start going on about 'how he's disowned me, you're the worst daughter, why couldn't you be a boy and live in the USA with me, baaawwww you're the most disappointing piece of shit ever'. Which.. doesn't really make sense? Since I personally haven't exactly done anything to him which could have caused him to be upset and rude like this  But apparently it's just from him having a problem with my mom and her actions, and blaming it on me. The rest of his family hate my mom as well, so of course they feel and act the same. I don't really like them either and haven't talked to them in god knows how many years, so eh, whatever.

Aaaand mom's side of the family aren't much better really, but at least they have a reason to dislike us! We're not exactly the richest people on the planet, and landlords tend to not like us renting a place for more than a year (even though mom pays the rent and all on time :/ ), so we usually have to stay with our relatives for a while until they get sick of us being there etc. And we've had to stay at nan and granddad's a couple of times in the past.... And now it's gotten to the point where granddad just argues and yells at me if I do the slightest thing wrong, or doing something what he would consider 'abnormal' (such as me not going to school, or staying inside all the time, you get the idea), and nan is alright, but you can tell that she's getting sick of us.

So basically my family hates me because of the things mom does :p

Hmmm where should I start? Well, let me just say this, I am not an 'easy say' 'easily said' kind of person so this might be a bit personal. But, I am used to sharing different bits of my life and to me thats how relationships are; very personally involving.

Well, I never completely trusted my mom although she is my mom and that is the only way I can verify our relationship, she is my mom. Growing up with her was a bit unusual because she raised me alone after the first couple years of my life. This was strange for me beause I remember she wouldn't allow a lot of things. she was a bit strict and foolish to realize I was just a acting like a child at the time or maybe it was because I was a child. We don't exactly get along and I think of her more of the person to say something to someone whether it where hurtful or not. She doesn't hold back about people, especially me. There are things in life she doesn't understand about me, or rather, the things that have happened in my life that take a toll on what I think about the reality of our relationship. To sum it up; Its upsetting to know someone who can be so close during your childhood and that took care of you realize for themselves and pretend that existence is just what is right in front of your eyes. Which to me means to me; she will never understand who I really am internally or what I value at a cultural level and that is important to me. She ignores it.

My dad; I've seen him like four times in my life. He never took care of me. As a toddler and growing up a bit, I didn't really care for him much even though people would mention he was my dad. The good side to getting to see my dad for the first time was that I have a commited relationship with his mom or my grandma. I love my grandma, she has always mentioned she loved me and played a part of spoiling me as a child because my mom was not able to do this on the level that my grandma could. My dad was just a stepping stone to spending my time with my grandma. My dad is also a moron and a irresponsible stud for ignoring his second child, or my half brother (he adores me as his sister), and shortly after my half brother turned 10 my dad started dismissing my brother from his life too. My dad is now married to another women and has two little girls.

The rest of my family has been fun in the past. But they are also a bunch of dramatic fun-loving cowards at times. I'm a bit sick of my immediate family, or maybe im just mad because im a bit tired of keeping up with their old news. I guess I just want to start fresh with some people.

What all this really means is that I've been through a lot of thought entangling life matterisms and its been pretty rough for me and I'm still trying to accept that 'my family is my family because they are family' but that was the past for me , and I don't want to look back because its a very dark and dimly lit past. I'm looking forward to a bright future in this life and the next so I don't want to blame my family for all their pretentious lessons in life that they tried to imprison me as if their values in life, society, and relationships was the only way and the right way to think, live, and die in. To me, thats just dysfunctional and I give them a tremoundous amount of credit for putting the D in dysfunction . I have a dysfunctional family and to them I am a dysfunction. ;)

Since my last post my father kicked me out. We got in a fight a week ago about honestly I'm not even sure. He says it was because of my "complete defiance to his face" but the way I see he was over reacting. He asked me to do the dishes, which I do every night. And I told him I would once I finished up on the computer, like I did every night. I told him I'd get on it right after I took my laundry, which I do myself with no help, out of the dryer and folded it. Apparently I wasn't moving fast enough even though I do these tasks the same exact way every night that I do them. He flipped out and he began to scream at me. We hadn't had a blow out like this in a while. He screamed at me telling me he hates me and that I make his life miserable and that he wants me out. He kept asking me when I would be out and I said I'd work on it. This was much like the fight we had a couple years ago where he told me I made him miserable (that fight was caused because I was in a bad mood and I told him to leave me alone and he freaked out even though he knows I suffer from depression). That time he also told me I could pack my shit and "go live with her in a box and make her miserable instead". And by her he meant my mother who lives in a trailer in the mountains. But anyway, the other night when he told me he wanted me out I decided that it was time to go. So all last week i spent packing up my shit, without him even noticing apparently. Yesterday I moved all my shit to my girlfriend and my best friend's houses. He had been gone all weekend and when he came back and found out I had actually started moving out, he flipped again. I asked him what he expected after our last conversation. I said I figured he'd only assume I'd be leaving since that's what he wanted. He kept telling me I'm going to regret this and that it's a bad idea and I shouldn't do it. I kept saying I can do this, I'm a big girl and I'll do what I gotta do to get by. This week I'll be finishing up the last of my things, then I have to take my rats to their new home and find my dog a new home since my dad says he's not keeping him. After that, I'll be free. Finally. My father isn't even worried about me. He isn't worried that I'll fail. He's mad because I actually got out and now he can't control me anymore and now he has to do everything around the house by himself. I felt a little regret last night but I know as time goes on, it'll go away and be replaced by a feeling of liberation. Best thing I've ever done.

I read through all these posts, and it honestly made me feel a little better about my family issues but not so much. Since I've never experienced divorce or extreme abuse or cheating etc, my family issues to me are very bad.

I thought my dad was the best person in the world when he brought me to Canada, because it was just such a huge place in my eyes and everything was simply amazing. My parents seemed to be "in love" at the time (8 years ago) but now I realize it was all pretty much an act. Soon after, I got diagnosed with Leukemia which brought my parents closer together in their struggle to deal with my sickness but it didn't last too long. Once I was in remission, things started to get bad. My dad became an alcoholic and causing havoc daily. Fighting with my mom often, yelling at her in the middle of the night, charges for DUI's, charges for breaking garage doors when he'd run through them with the car.. the list continues. He also started gambling around that time, and I absolutely despised him. That was around the first time I was exposed to hearing "once she's better, I'm leaving your ass." My dad is 15 years older than my mom, and I feel that its a good reason for why their parenting views are just so different, because my dad is so much more old fashioned than my mom. My dad is an overall douche. He's a complete hypocrite in everything he does, completely discriminatory and judgemental towards anyone who's not white, calls me fat at every possible occasion (I'm struggling with losing weight, but I'm not fat, I'm simply a BIT chubby), yells for no reason, and doesn't allow me to do anything. My curfew is "be home right after school." I'm not allowed to go to sleep overs, I'm not allowed to wear anything that he considers revealing or inappropriate or that shows my fat, I'm not really allowed to do the activities I love but then he yells at me saying how I'm a loner and I'm always inside the house despite not being allowed out. He doesn't make sense at all. If he wasn't my father and if he didn't put a roof over my head, I wouldn't give him the time of day. I argued as much as I could and he's finally come to terms with the fact that in september, I'm leaving for university. Little does he know I'm never coming back. I can't live in this household of constant arguing and nagging over nothing. Also, I would understand him being strict if I had terrible grades or something but I'm an honour roll student yet I'm still kept prisoner in my own house.

Now I feel bad for my sister because she's almost 10 and all her friends are allowed to do their nails, go to their friends house while she's just always stuck inside. I sympathize but then again she's a massive cunt who tries to act like she's twice her age and tell me what to do.

Theres nothing really to say about my mom. I would choose her over my dad any day, but I don't have a good relationship with her. She doesn't trust me, and I don't trust her because of the constant times she's searched my room. I love her though because of all the times she's stood up to my dad for me, despite his overbearing authoritarian style parenting.

I just can't wait to get away. It's going to be incredibly liberating.

My mom and dad are both from Mexico... I was the first born in the United States from them. Then my sister Jahayra (19) and my sister Jailene (13). My parents were very poor when they first moved here. The rest of our family is involved in drug trafficking but my mom and dad never got involved in family business because they wanted me and my sisters to have a better life. But being poor they both had to work so much that I was basically raised on my own. I never had want for nothing... but I never had parents I could turn to. So I grew up not knowing right from wrong. Or not giving a shit... Im not sure which. I started selling drugs and using them.

My sister that is 19 had a baby and i love my little niece.
My parents put life insurance on me expecting the inevitable. and that's that.

I updated my post to better reflect who my family consists of. My family is a very important aspect of my life and I wanted to ensure I've properly outlined them.

I have a really close knit family. We're always down to help each other. We drink together, we always have family functions. Of course we fight and we annoy each other but at the end of the day we get over it cuz we're family and no ones really that horrible. Except my aunt she's a hot fucking mess, but we help her because we're all pretty sure she's a bit touched.

I have a mother. And that's it. She's pretty normal, I guess. I don't have a relationship at all with her - I mean, I'm pretty neutral towards her existence. We do pretty much nothing together, but we live in the same house.
Although I have an Aunt and Uncle out in Washington State, they're pretty sweet, but we don't talk much.
