Getting a guest code from my friends place later today. It'll allow me to play as many characters as I want up til the end of the first act apparently. So I was wondering if you Codexians would help me pick which class to play first. Just vote for your personal preference. Thanks

I went monk because I thought using fists to kill shit would be fun, and it is. The wizard I found to be very boring at first, the skills are sort of mediocre. I only played the beta so I haven't progressed past level 10 in either of these classes.

Witch doctors are pretty fun if you lik ehaving al ot of guys running around with you. You pretty much use a bunch of animals to fight and tank for you .

I like Witch Doctor. Fun and versatile. Good for soloing and for group

Witch Doctor for solo. But my second character I picked Monk and so far its a TON of fun.

I'm WD currently. I'm level 31 and I absolutely demolish everything, solo or co-op. I heard the WD has some problems on Inferno though, so keep that in mind. Probably just the play style though, you have to learn not to use pets when your co-op on the harder modes because they get one shot on Inferno apparently.

I rolled a DH alt. I really like the play style of this one as well, although the traps take a bit of getting used to. I'll probably get to this one after I get bored with my WD.

I'm playing with the demon hunter right now and it's pretty fun. I don't really know much about the game to have a preference yet. Do we have a topic on here to share battle tags?

Decided to go with Monk on my first play.

Monks seem crazy good so far. Almost overpowered (although I hear they've allready been nerfed once). Can't make it past the Skeleton King though as I keep getting the dreaded 3007 error every 5 minutes or so. Which is alright if I can get to a checkpoint in time. But I've yet to be able to make it to him and defeat him before I get DC'd. Will try other classes soon.

Got my Barb up to level 38 and am just bored with him entirely... It's nothing but grinding from here and the action just isn't exciting.... *click* *click* *click* *click* I started a wizard (named Voldermort) and am around level 18 now and it's a LOT more fun. I think I'm just now starting A2 Normal on my Wizard (A2 NM for my Barb) if anyone wants to play hmu. Battletag MorningGlory#1777

Update on WD:

Now level 33. Doing 812 DPS according to the inventory level, but doing far more than that if you consider dots and pet damage.

Still having a lot of fun grinding through Nightmare. Somewhere in Act 2 right now. Still very viable in all the situations, especially boss battles. Have friends of equal level that we party with. I do better DPS and die less than the Barb and the Monk. Wizard molests the enemies. We don't have a DH.

Weird, since according to the poll the most played (although limited poll) is monk and wizard. Yet all I've played with are other wizards and barbarians. I think I've seen a handful of demon hunters, very few witch doctors, and I've only played with a monk once or twice

I actually play with a lot of Demon Hunters. It was horrible on Act 4 Nightmare trying to beat diablo with three demon hunters (I'm a wizard)

I'm in hell act 1 right now and I'm not getting brutally killed surprisingly.

I remember sorceress in D2 and nightmare was pretty brutal

Hell was... impossible haha. It was just kiting with meteor or frost orb and hoping to god you don't get struck by ANYTHING
