My friend is trying to get me to go to a midnight release of Prometheus in IMAX 3D but I can't seem to force myself to pay almost 15 dollars to see a movie in the theatre.

[Sage]

I'm hoping Prometheus will be as good as the trailers are desperately trying to say it is. Also I will shank babies if necessary to see Brave on opening night. Same for The Hobbit (am I the only one that teared up just a little when the dwarves started singing for the first time and then the music swelled into that fantastic theme?).

I was excited for Dark Knight Rises until Bane spoke for the first time. Then the football field scene, and... engh. I love Bane from the 90s animated series. He was batshit crazy and fucking evil, this Bane just looks (and sounds, ugh, what is WRONG with people's voices in this movie?) bland and dull. Where's the roid-raging luchador with the superiority complex I grew up loving?

Prometheus' plot summary up on wikipedia

Must resist the urge for spoilers...

I've seen Prometheus in the iMax, it was ok. I recommend you forget everything you know about Aliens before watching it though.
As it seemed like a completely different concept to me, and inconsistencies pissed me off as a long standing Aliens fan.

Not expecting it to be another Aliens film so I should be good to go. And IMAX seems like the only way to watch movies nowadays, not that I'm complaining.

Skyfall and the hobbit....I rarely get excited about new films.
Also is there a release date for hangover 3 yet?

THE HOBBIT

[jonahfinn]

Prometheus!

and thats it.

I was dragged to go watch this movie by a friend, fell asleep about 20minutes in. =p
That said, the storyline wasn't very interesting and the end was anti-climatic.

I'm looking forward most to watching Dark Knight Rises and the Amazing Spiderman

[yeah]

Struck by Lightning, and Ted, just for the hell of it. Seems like a very low-budget 80s movie idea.

I WAS waiting for Thats my boy!

[Jakerz]

I've been waiting for the new batman since the last one came out so that'll be nice! I didn't even know there was going to be ANOTHER bourne movie but I liked the other ones so I'll probably check that out too

[Mathalaxryn]

I must say I'm pretty excited for Spiderman.

[Kuragehime]

I'm actually looking forward to the new Pixar movie "Brave". The lead's hair looks AMAZING.

Ted
the movie about a teddy bear going alive. o.0

[Shwag]

Spiderman looks shitty. Emma Stone is no Mary Jane, and she doesn't even have red hair in the movie.

Can't wait for Les Miserables. One of my all time favorite novels. Don't really know how i feel about Amanda Seyfreid being Colette, but should still be great movie.

Hobbit/Dark Knight are obviously on the hit list this year.

I was under the impression that there is no Mary Jane in the movie and that it's Gwen Stacy, which couldn't be a bad thing after the Kirsten Dunst playing MJ.

Ok, so the poster itself looks kinda bad but I'm interested in seeing how they're spinning his past. Will I go see it in theatres? Probably not, unless it gets amazing reviews.

I'm not really looking forward to seeing any movies at the moment. I guess the new Pixar movie because they always tend to be hits (with the exception of Cars 2), plus the short animation prior to the movie is always fun.

The Expendables 2.

Brave and the hobbit

[artemisbane]

Really considering going out to see a midnight of Brave. I start whistling flogging molly songs everytime I catch the bagpipes in the trailer.

[ashleyownsx]

I can't wait until "Ted" comes out haha.

On the other hand, I agree with the people saying that the new Spiderman looks like ass.

[andreaxo]

The Dark Knight Rises, but I'll have to wait a week or so before I can even go see it.

[Wren]

I anxiously await mainly animated movies! I'm big on 2d and 3d animation.

[Alodielle]

I just discovered Epic. The trailer sucks, but regardless, I can't wait for it. Also, Rio 2.

I'm a major Disney/American animation fangirl.

[mintpro]

Like many others, I'm waiting for The Dark Knight Rises and The Hobbit.

Speaking of Hobbit the productions video diares are incredible:
