*continues waiting for coltom to explain how his opinion is right and everybody else is wrong*

*continues waiting, more realistically, for another pseudomystic platitude*

*goes to check if pseudomystic is a real word*

*makes mental note to use pseudomystic in a conversation in the future*

Frankly, my biggest complaint is that neopets does not stop people from destroying the game with all the scams, autobuyers and autocompleters, and thus nullify any achievement that a person might obtain.

Then why do you still play?
Why do you value those achievements so highly?

And most importantly; why do you hang around a bunch of thieving, amoral cheaters?
What do you hope to achieve by sticking around?

I see your presence on this site as contradictory.

(That is unless you're like those creepy overly religious people and are trying to convert us away from cheating. I'll just hide behind the couch and turn on the sprinklers.)

I'm a walking contradiction, partly truth and partly fiction, taking every wrong direction on my lonely way back home.

Just because you'll don't understand the amoral basis of your actions, does not mean I don't enjoy your company.

I'm not sure if that counts as a pseudomystic platitude... Do I get the points, LW?

A good story to read, is that Hellbound train by Robert Bloch. Good man, Bloch, he drank Jack Daniels black label, knew more dirty stories than you could shake a stick at. Good man, terrible taste in whiskey.

It''s not that I don't understand the basis of my actions, you just failed to make a valid point. You just ramble and ramble.

(And come on. You violated the ToS anyway. You are no better then us. You're a cheater too.)

We could focus on the fact that was not my original question, my question was how does this hurt/get revenge/matter to Neopets. My contention, it doesn't hurt neopets to any degree, rather it hurts the honest players.

Now, to the degree that what ever harm my actions causes, versus those of you stealing millions of NP a week, well, water is wet, the sun is hot, the stars shine at night.

I'm sorry, can anyone help me? Someone has moved the goalposts, and I can't find them anywhere.

I suppose since no one can answer the original question, I'll do a little happy dance, eat a moonpie and drink an RC Cola or an Ale-8.

Due to lack of evidence to the contrary I think we just have to accept that cheating and using programs are the right things to do and harm nobody.

IMO there are no varying degrees of rule-breaking when it comes to the ToS. You either violate it or don't.
You violate it. You are just like the rest of us. By having a shell, you unfairly increase your chances at whatever it is you are trying to do.

We aren't using a resource that is not available to them. If they want to use Abrosia, they can. The more the merrier.

Bad habit, as I no longer have a voice I do most of my talking through a vodar device. The commas are one of the standard symbols for adding a pause in speech. Since I have a top end vodar, one that I've written a sizeable protion of the software, I try very hard to be understood in normal conversation; then the habits of speech/writing are blending into my normal writing. If this was my vodar, I would be highlighting with four degrees of attributes and pacing to mimic human speech.

Really, people that donta know me rarely notice that my speech is artificial.

You do realize that you're showing the attributes that would require you to seek profession help, and quick. If you think, that murder and jaywalking are morally equivalent, or that adultery is ok because others can do it..... I am just so sad now.

I'm not a cheater, however if I ever were to start up this would be my reasoning...

Since I am really busy as of late, I would cheat as a way to still accomplish my goals (and then some) without having to sit on the computer all day long to do so. I love(d) Neopets, but it takes up way too much of my time playing legitimately. :p

Because homicide is obviously directly analagous to automated tool usage.

While that was a very rational argument, I would like to nudge you back towards the original question. People say they're taking revenge upon neopets by cheating, that is the question that perplexes me.

The people who say that are ignorant. You can't get revenge on a game by cheating at it.
