I got the avatar with mine. You could also advertise on the PC that you have an FFQ and see what you get offered.

FFQs right now go for draiks. If you want a UC you'd need a FFQ + PDE custom.

I say go for the avatar. There's really nothing you can't paint/zap with enough NPs.

Fountain Faerie Quest. It's this really rare quest that allows your pet to be dipped in the fountain in Faerieland. You can get a lot of special colours from there. Also, I'm talking about the Buzzin' avatar. Paint a buzz at the fountain.

You could easily get lent a Pea if you're wanting it for the avatar, but that's if you can ever even find a SuAP lender. I say go for the Buzzin' av (if you actually care for avatars), or try trading it for something worthwhile.

does 'dipping' in the fountain also changes your pet's Species ? meaning you can change to anything you want ? or is it just the color ?

Colour only, if you want a specific species, you will have to create one OR morph it first.
