Hey,

I just started getting into neopets and Abing recently, and I seem to be getting decent items (or at least the neocodex database seems to say so) but they don't seem to be selling in my shop. How long does it typically take for an item to sell? I know it is very dependent on whether the item is ETS, HTS, and the individual item it is, but on average, what do you consider a decent turn around time from purchase to sale?

    I reprice every 4 days.

Some clothing items and the like can sit around for a month though.

Man! Thanks for the snappy reply. That is good to know, because everybody talks about profit per day, and items that are ETS, but nobody really mentions how long easy really means.

Books tend to sell fast for me, while foods can take a while (a couple days or longer). When I ABed in clothing I found those items to be very very difficult to sell and the only way I managed to sell them was to make threads in the "shop ads" part of the neoboards telling people I was selling them.

As for repricing, when I price my shop for the items I've ABed on that day I reprice all the items that I haven't sold. If I don't feel like going lower on my prices, I just let them sit at the price I had them at. (as I use the SSW to price)

Here's Sweeney's guide to this. (which I just happen to find funny).

I agree with Satsuki, sure it can take a while to sell but I also suggest you just keep buying. the more you have the more you will sell.

Usually a week for HTS heavily reduced clothing and for stamps usually same day.

Thanks for all the info, I will definitely keep buying. I am trying to see what shops are good around my schedule, so I am really just testing the waters right now, but this is all good stuff :D

Clothing under 100k seems HTS but I find any clothes worth 200k-2m go pretty fast on the TP with minimal work. I spend maybe 1-3hrs a day in a shop with fast selling items (as in, sold within minutes-hours after pricing) until I have about 150-300k fast profit, then move to shops like Clothes or something with slower selling items to build long term profit. So I guess anything under one hour is "fast", but really, overnight sales are decent/ideal for me.

When you really get to buying higher profit items though, it won't be your shop sales you have to worry about. My shops usually have 30 items or less, while my trades are pushing 50. Some of my trades sit there for months, and fill up my inventory

ETS Clothing - Cybunny, Kacheek, Draik, Aisha, some Krawk, Lupe, Xweetok, Gelert

Those clothing I find ETS for high priced.

Check my guide and get the list of ETS/MTS morphing potions: http://www.neocodex....pets-reselling/

I can tell some of the clothing are heavily overpriced in database using SSW.

I was ABing at a clothing store for a week or two now and have only made 1 or 2 sales per night. I've also got a bunch of UB's from it that are taking quite a while to sell on TP...

I price check daily to ensure my items are the cheapest...and I don't mind losing a bit of profit to sell the item quickly. I'd much rather pay 5k to buy an item worth 95k but then I'll only sell that item for 60-75k just to get rid of it. I do that with clothes all the time as most of the are HTS.

I'd say currently most of my stuff is very ETS. Otherwise, it'll sit in the shop for like 1~2+ weeks (mostly HTS stuff grabbed from the attic).

Depends on the item and category of said item like everyone above said.

For me personally, I would think I sell most items in a week. If you want to make steady NP, buy ETS items like books and food and price competitively.

I find that the best pattern is to reprice twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed. The key to selling is to consistently have your items be the lowest more often, to state the obvious. But if you price only once a day or less you'll find yourself getting under cut in a matter of hours.

To help it sell faster, put the auto pricer on 90% or lower of lowest price.
