A few young kids just knocked on my door holding a huge carrier bag full of sweets.

I was starving, so with no adults in sight I decided to quickly snatch them and close the door.

Then I sat down on the sofa and ate them one by one.

After that, I was still hungry, so I ate all of their sweets too.

....

Happy Halloween

I tried trick-or-treating at the embassies in DC, and only South Korea had candy. And a man dressed as PSY. The man at the Indian embassy made threatening gestures when my group approached. My stupid friends tried getting candy from the Islamic Center, and one of them inquired if it was the National Cathedral. The British embassy has at least 3 pieces of unicorn art adorning its building.

    What's Halloween?

But seriously, due to hurricane damage, New Jersey has been forced to put Halloween on hold. I don't know if they chose another day for kids to go trick-or-treating because I don't have cable or internet, but that's what they did last year when we had a Nor'easter on Halloween. We have, however, had quite a few friends and neighbors who are still without power come over to take a hot shower, charge their phones, and watch a movie in a warm house. Hopefully next year won't bring another weather disaster because I miss Halloween!

I forgot to mention that I ended up receiving 4 pieces of candy. Half from ROK (bless 'em) and half from a random kindly old woman with a dog dressed as Superman.

I bought tons of candy... but no one wants the candy of the house that's the only one on its street.

We also have about 17 steps leading up to our porch. Too much effort, maybe?

And no decorations. Maybe not inviting enough?

I will put forth more effort next year. For this year... WTF am I gonna do with all this unclaimed candy? :/

It's old and snowing outside, so I've had literally 2 kids show up.

Sure didn't stop me when I was younger, I just manned it up for tons of free candy.

I would highly recommend unashamed, ravenous consumption.

I just got off work. My nicki costume wasn't work appropriate so I decided to just wear my Gary the Snail headband.

You know, in the past, that would have been my devious, devious plan... but this year, I passed into the realm of "people who are too grown up to like candy." I just don't enjoy it anymore! :crybaby:

It's officially not halloween anymore but I do want to say I'm very disappointed with this year. I spent like 50 bucks on the big candy bars that I was ready to give out. I didn't get off work until 7 but when i got to my apartment complex all the street lights were off. The complex specifically tries to get trick or treaters not to come. I didn't have one person knock on my door. Very sad. ;(

On the bright side, you have $50 worth of big candy bars.
