Hi all,

Im a new member here, and i realised that the market section requires a certain amount of postcount for access. How many is that exactly? Also, most of the discussion threads are dead (no response for >1 month). How do i go about attaining these posts without gravedigging? I understand the importance to control the number of users in the market section, and post count being the viable way to rid that section of bots and spammers. However, do also bear in mind that it is the quality of posts, not quantity that matters. I could have just "csb" (cool story bro) every thread, but i think it would be an eyesore and a bane to this very community. SO yea, please enlighten me on the above questions if u happen to know the answer to them.

Cheers,
Thrashcan

In order to access the trading post, you must have been a member for a week with 10 non-spam posts. I agree that it is quality vs quantity but it's difficult to automate quality without overboarding on work for the staff so this is the best we have at the moment :(. As far as how to attain these posts, you should use the view new content link at the top right of each page to see what people are currently discussing. You can feel free to participate in those topics :). As far as gravedigging goes, there are varying opinions on its merit on this site, but personally, I feel that if you have something useful to add to a thread or discussion, you shouldn't be shy about adding it, regardless of how old the topic is or when the last post was made.
