Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but is there any way to get around to the delay in price changes after half-off day? I search the data base for items, and a lot of them often still have their half-off price listed, which can sometimes cause confusion when seeing something that would normally be a bad buy listed as giving a lot of profit... Is it just something you have to deal with, or is there a way to avoid it? Sorry if this isn't in the right place.

The prices should balance itself out within a day or two after HPD so all you can do is wait it out for them to stabilise again :/

Maybe there should be a system to disable item db price changes on HPD? :o

But then some things that are profitable on HPD will be missed.
A better solution would be a system to revert any changes that occur on half price day... so like reload the database from the day before HPD, I don't know it that's possible though :/

Wouldn't it be simple enough to just have a toggle switch of sorts to split the items' most recent mainshop prices in half, so you can see what will be profitable come HPD, and you don't have to worry about delay in the prices changing back? I can't imagine it'd be that hard to do, but then I know nothing about how the IDB actually /works/. :p But I do think some kind of solution should be looked into, as often I'm still finding outdated HPD prices listed a week or so later.

The night before this last half off day, I was still getting prices from the /last/ half off day when I was checking them! D: I really think something needs to be worked out for this if the prices sometimes stay a whole month.

    Not true. ;)

The half-off price reported in the DB is not what the autobuyer uses to calculate the profit for purchase if you are using database mode. Whatever is listed in the main shop at the time of purchase is what the program uses -- half-price day or not. The main shop price shown on the item's page is only for display purposes.

However, we should be disabling main shop price updating on half-price day so that the prices on the item's page are not misleading... and on half-price day, list the discounted price beside the regular price. :p

I thought we'd done that a couple of years ago, I'm sure I remember somebody (maybe Kitsune) suggesting it. :p

You should know by now that suggested doesn't necessarily mean implemented. xD Also, I don't think Kitsune was around after we made the Items Database... as far as I remember.
