soooo ... I quit my daily addiction Pet Society on Facebook that was responsible for sucking me of few thousand $$$ in 2012 and now I'm wondering if it will be worth it to get premium on neopets

anyone here a premium user or used to have premium? was it worth or just sucked a bunch of crap? xd

I haven't reached the max pets yet so not really getting it for that but what about the RE in neomail feature is that any good?

I haven't had "new premium" but had it a couple years back. It was okay. If you've got the money and play a lot, I'd say go for it. SSW is obviously the biggest perk. The REs are neat but usually not much; I wouldn't justify paying the fee for that perk.

I've had premium for about 3 weeks now. I'm not impressed. The only things I actually like are the custom dailies shortcuts on the tool bar and the SSW. I really don't think it was worth 50 USD, but hey, it'll last longer than 5500 NC to me.

The only reason I have premium is for the SSW to be honest. Other than that, IT AIN'T WORTH IT. Also, the fact that I don't pay for it with my own money, makes it easy to justify. ;) Neocodex ftw :p

I don't think Premium is worth it either way. You get a lot of random events but you make only make about 1-3k profit from them. I do like the SSW though, but it's not worth the money for Premium.

I was a premium user for years. I came to the conclusion that if you use the programs here, and don't really play onsite much, it's a waste of money. Sure the SSW is nice, but if you never use it, it doesn't really matter.

If you're more of a legit, onsite player, then I would recommend it. But only if you play for several hours a week. If you just play every now and then, it's unnecessary.

Ah... so not likely to receive a PB found on the floor for example? :p on my first account on neopets I found several lab map pieces on the floor as REs... have you gotten any of these in neomail?

That is true!!! I go through NC like bottles of water
When you say toolbar is that like something you have to download and install ? That would be a huge turn off I hate installing junk on my computer

So you've never found lab map pieces or PBs with those random events then?

    Thanks for the input !

I've never found any PB or map pieces in the RE's
If you play games alot, I get alot of RE where they double the amount you won. still not really alot of NP in that tho
You don't install the toolbar, its an onsite toolbar only and you can turn it on and off in the preferences.

Well that sucks xd you'd think for a paid subscription they'd give out better items in REs T_T

I used to play games hardcore to get NPs then I sort of got bored and now I only do dailies, collect interest and check the stock market to see if I made any awesome profits xd so I guess that wouldn't really be an incentive for me......

I'd say go for it, but in all honesty the question is more about what the $50 means to you.

I enjoy premium as it gives me another opportunity to customize a pet, with the 5th pet option, I always use the SSW for everything and with me training pets I often find cheap codestones saving me quite a few nps daily!

On top of that I have to say I love the new dailies feature with all the dailies in one place, so overall I think its worth it, but then again if your in school or on limited income then maybe your $50 would be better spent :)

Oh I have a game budget every month XD just so I don't spend all my money in the first week of the month and eat grass for the other 3 weeks which trust me is soooo tempting sometimes xD but I don't go to the movies or buy comics or spend much on other forms of entertainment heck I don't even enjoy shopping all that much so I figure I'm justified with the games ;p

I could definitely see myself owning a 5th pet but at the moment I am saving to buy a draik egg and that will only be my third pet if/when I do get it so I'm not sure how long it will take me to reach the point where I need that extra slot. Then again 50/12 months is less than 5 bucks a month which makes it so so so tempting

It's between spending that 50 on premium and cold turkeying on NC for a couple weeks or blowing the 50 on NC and most probably gazing in disgust at a bunch of duplicate buyables xD xD xD but sucker that I am, actually tempted to gamble and see if I can get LE items xDDDDDDDD

It's more of a built-in thing at the bottom of your account that you can toggle on and off with your preferences. The SSW is there. You click on an icon and the window just pops up at the bottom.

I mean I use profits made from ABing to pay for my premium per month ;) So it would make sense to spend the $5 here for an advanced membership (for full flexibility of the programs) and make some NP to sell to fund your premium ;)

Aaah, it depends how much you play haha.
I would get it but I'm broke after Christmas gifts and stuff. This year I'm making handmade things and baking.

I bought I think like 90 items for my fire/ice gallery when there was still the old premium and I didn't get banned.
I've recently bought a lot of stat increasers and I didn't get banned either.

It's really hard to get SSW banned if you don't plan to buy 100 unique items in a matter of 10 minutes.

I had it once. It did not change my game experience but I guess if you are totally legit and play all the time then I could see it being worth it.

does the advanced membership give better guides about proxies and the program? :\ i've never ab-ed in my life and don't want to get my only account iced i'm terrified of that happening >.<

No, advanced membership just gives you better control over the autobuyer and things like that. You don't get special access to 'advanced only' guides or any such thing like that. It's just a lot easier to make a profit if you have the advanced membership as you can change a lot more of the settings on Abrosia.

If you need any answers regarding how to use the Autobuyer with proxies etc then take a look at our Neocodex Guide Directory, there should be a guide there that you're looking for.

Premium won't get you ahead of the game much, so I think it's more beneficial to buy advanced membership here instead.

I know! Most of the REs are from the Space Faerie and I don't think she gives out PBs. Even with premium, you're held to a lot of the same restrictions as people who don't have premium. You get SSW banned quicker than you would using the regular shop wizard, and you still get dumb REs like Sloth taking 10% of your NP, Pant Devil, etc. And you still can't adopt certain painted pets if you're under 4 months. You'd think there would be some exceptions for people who are paying for the site, but no :(

I had it for a while before but I don't think it's worth it. You don't really get that much a np increase and ssw burns out so quickly. I guess a 5th pet could be nice if ur into customization or pet hoarding. But other than that, premium kinda sucks. You do get access to special boards tho if u have had premium for a min. of 4 months tho.

And that's a perk? "special" boards?

Thanks so much for all the input everyone. Decided to blow half my cash on NC and the rest on advanced ...when I have time to read enough about proxies >.<

And hopefully anyone who has the same questions in the future will be helped by reading this thread
