And it should be carried out by the rest of the town residents, under the supervision of the National Guard. They're pretty good at killing unarmed civilians in Ohio.

So these football players drugged and raped an unconscious 16 year old, photographed her, dragged her from party to party, went back to a house, made a video bragging and joking about the events, and sent the pictures to their coach. Allegedly.

This is the video they recorded at their house.

Sick. Just sick.

I'm so happy Anonymous shone the spotlight on these sick bastards.
School faculty, parents, and football fans were trying to cover it up for them, repulsive.
Also very sad for the victim.

That case really makes me angry. The fact that these boys were KNOWN for being rapists and no one did anything about it. They were being called the rape crew before Anonymous even got a hold of this case and all of these adults were just covering it up and shaming these girls into silence. It makes me sick that all of these parents aiding and abetting the rape of other people's children. Last I heard Michael Nodianos left OSU because he was getting threats and Anonymous members on campus were putting posters up warning other students that he was a rapist. I say good riddance.

It's more of a culture problem the town had, they basically gave them everything on a silver platter because they were star football players in a football community. And whenever trouble occurred for them, the town and law enforcement shoved it under the rug and ignored it.

Yeah I understand it's a cultural problem but that seriously sickens me. Because of their backwards, low rent values this kid could've gone on to drug and rape more girls at OSU because he did it all through out high school consequence free. I hope him and the others never get into any schools or get hired anywhere.

It's kind of pathetic that this community put high school football (of all things) on such a high pedestal that rape was something the adults and law enforcement were willing to overlook. Good on Anonymous to shed some light on this.

At that point, they are all being shit human beings with no moral backbone.

Spineless fucks! For them to laugh and joke about it, let alone do it, is bad enough!

I say, chop off their cocks and hang the cunts!

And the people who tried to cover it all up are equally as bad IMO.

Is this the case where the girl cut a deal with the ones accused of raping her? she later broke her word in keeping silent and named her aggressors and was held in contempt. I have a lot of mixed feelings about how that one was dealt with

That's a different one. This one hasn't even gone to trial yet I think.

    No. You're thinking of

    Savannah Dietrich.

Her situation wasn't nearly as brutal.. Perhaps you should read the link I posted above. The cases are nothing alike aside from the fact they were both taken advantage of.

Ps. there was no deal cut. She was being VICTIM SHAMED. Ordered by court not to discuss the case whatsoever.

Do the research for yourself, it's not my job to define it for you.
Actually, if it isn't obvious, that's just pathetic. She was told to live her life like nothing happened to her. Not to ruin these boys reputations.
That's shaming her. Shaming her into believing it's her fault.

    Edit:

Let me define what I believe to be "victim shaming."
In any situation where a woman is made to believe a rape is her fault, she should keep quiet, or that it's something for her to be ashamed of.

I thought that was common knowledge, guess not.

Do you have any idea how court and legal proceedings are run? Have you any first hand experience in judicial procedures or operational workings within the justice system?

Because to me, it sounds like you're blowing smoking out your arse, and you cannot back it up.

    "Do the research yourself"

Seriously? Way to back up your point and enforce. Bravo.

In cases like these both sides should remain anonymous unless or until somebody has actually been convicted and found guilty for it. Obviously what they're alleged to have done is completely repulsive but they should still be regarded as innocent until they've been found guilty in court.

Well, the victim wasn't involved in the plea bargaining; that's between the defendants and the office of the district attorney (prosecution). She didn't break her word because she didn't give her word. She was ordered by the court. She wasn't held in contempt, but contempt charges were filed and later withdrawn.

Obviously what they're alleged to have done is completely repulsive but they should still be regarded as innocent until they've been found guilty in court.

Usually pleading guilty to two counts would be congruent with being found guilty in court. It's not alleged once they're convicted.

Can we get back to the Steubenville case? There has at least been an attempt at justice for Savannah. No such luck for the underage girl from Steubenville.

Let me be clear. I am aware of the whole "innocent until proven guilty" shit.
I just don't care. Savannah had a right to discuss what happened to her. That's my opinion.

I'm not here to debate over how the legal system works, because I'm aware that's a losing battle. I just don't agree with it.

So if you have a problem with my thought process, great for you, I have no fucks to give. Sorry. *shrug*

For the record Frizzle. I am not backing up my points because unlike you, I didn't come here to debate with anyone.

There's a petition with 70,000 signatures -- over three times the population of Steubenville.

I also think the topic title change is interesting -- though death seems a little hasty. These "1 in 10" should at the very least be barred from public service or from serving as a leader/rolemodel of any kind. That includes the Steubenville parents that stuff their kids in plastic totes as punishment (what a messed up little town ).

I'm allowed to make statements :') HAHAHAHA!

I think it's cute how you have so much faith in the legal system that you believe just because something is law, it's right. :)
