So I don't spend a lot of time on the trading scene, mostly just use it to attempt to get permanent pets so I was hoping someone could dish out some trading advice to me?

 

To eventually obtain a higher end UC of some sort, what sort of starting pet would you recommend?

 

I'm especially hopeless with the RW/RN market as I have no idea how to tell what's easy to trade and what isn't.

If you're here, why don't you just buy your UC? Most people will compensate if you're frozen when buying it and it's a lot easier than going on the PC. I trade a fair amount, it's very boring. Generally, you need a good common RW/RN to get a UC. Stuff like Star and Green is good, stuff like Toilet and Table aren't good. Stats are a plus, draik morphs and FFQs plus a RW/RN is the only way to get one right now. The purge and the FS messed up a lot of trading values.

Actually, most people won't even consider RW/RNs any more, even if they are painted draiks.

Everywhere it's all "UCs UFT for UCs only."

It's really hard to break into the market unfortunately unless you're really lucky.

Maybe RW/RN value will return to normal again in a couple of years once some purged names have been lost/frozen.

Not particularly. It's also partly the RW/RNs fault. I know some of them have UC offers, but are reluctant to trade for lower-tiered UCs. For example, the name May is looking for higher p/r/d/ks, while a lot of lower tiered UCs would gladly trade for May.

 

In the end, if you're trying to trade up with a RW, just take the first UC offer that isn't a mutant then work from there.
