Duhm duhm duhm duuuhm, so dramatic!

Okay, so I'm a long time neo user, began playing back in year 2 I think. Anyway! Like many others I returned once again a year or two ago, and been on and off ever since. I've mostly played randomly, but recently I got some weird motivation spree to start playing HC properly again. With the help of AB ofc tho >__<

After reading a lot of complaints on these forums (what grinds your neogears, is neopets dying, why is np customer service so shitty?) as well as elsewhere...It makes me so mad to realize that all these people including me are complaining about the same things over and over again, threatening to leave neopets for these reasons while many of their friends already have...Yet TNT seems to be doing nothing about these things. I know this sounds really immature and naive, but it seriously makes me want to sign a petition, along with gathering a huge strike, especially regarding NC. To FORCE Nickelodeon/Viacom to listen and for them to do their best to restore Neopets to it's golden age. I'm not talking about going back in time, but there are so many things that we all want but their not giving us. I would give anything to have Adam and Donna back. They had a perfect vision for neopets that WORKED. Originally neopets wasn't for small kiddies and you could send neomails without having to avoid words like "asset" or "evil" (yes wtf, evil was sensored once).

And holy crap the customer service is the worst ever. I just don't get it.

Thing is that neopet's popularity is dropping...Of course if their current strategy was working out for them then surely they wouldn't do anything, but they don't seem to be realizing that back when many things were different Neopets was 3 times more popular (supported by numbers...)

TL;DR: Don't you ever feel like "HOLY CRAP WHY DO YOU SUCK SO MUCH THESE DAYS NEO, YOU USED TO BE SO MUCH BETTER - EVERYONE AGREES" that it makes you want to gather up all those billion complaints and petitions you've read into one huge strike/protest that nickelodeon couldn't ignore? T___T

The usual answer is "Yeh sucks but whatever, we'll still continue to play, can't do anything about it." which is true in some cases, but I know a lot of people have quit and are quitting, and not as many people are joining up because of the many mistakes that have been made in the recent years...

Why would they care when the site is almost certainly more profitable now than it ever has been?

Of course I thought about this, but honestly I belive that it's going in a bad direction. There'll be a competitor for neopets (well, there already are) and since a lot of people are fed up with TNT it's easy for them to lose despite their size. I actually study business (no that this makes me a genius in telling what they should do) so I have come up with a pretty long list in my head as to what they're doing wrong in my opinion and how they're going to be losing a lot of potential money in the future or at least how they COULD BE MAKING A LOT MORE if they were to listen to the customers...

Besides, thus the NC strike. x3

We're a vocal minority. The popularity of Neopets has been on a steady, sometimes sharp decline from its early 2000s heyday. They realize it's not going to last forever. There are between 7,000 and 16,000 players listed online at any given time, none of them care whatsoever about how things currently are or used to be. Nickelodeon is a giant company and I really doubt Neopets is a significant source of revenue, or at least not a big enough one that they'd be actively trying to bring back an older fanbase to a children's website. They already do listen to the customer. The customer wants wearables, that's the entire site's purpose now. To sell clothes for stupid internet animals. For every one of us that either left the site long ago because of policy changes or I dunno, entering puberty, there are two more that stuck around because of nostalgia and five more that really have no idea what Neopets used to be like and are fine with it the way it is. You simply will not have a 'huge strike'. You will have some ruffled feathers in a chicken coop full of drooling idiots hooked up to a catheter of new items.

I really hate to burst your bubble but there's nothing we can do. TNT still have a strong legion of cock-suckers who will buy NC/support TNT at any chance they get, and that's their target audience now  Go check out the "complaint" threads on the event board and you'll know who I'm talking about. Those of us who don't buy anything from them aren't worth anything to them, and TNT will just continue to ignore us and keep milking the cow until it's dry and dead.

Also if Adam and Donna came back I'm faaaaiiirly sure Neopets would just have the same fate as all of the Meteor Games products ┐('~`; )┌

The company itself is a total train wreck, and it's hilarious.

I support this. This is a fantastic idea.

You should start a Facebook group, Tumblr, Twitter etc, etc, etc! Do everything you can to rally enough people to make a dent in The online population. See if you can get filigrees on board! Shes huge in the NC community! You could start a rebellion and get people to use a certain avatar or wearable to show theyre gonna strike!

Then, hopefully all the whingers will get banned and I'l be left to restock in peace.

Neopets is too far gone to save, as sad as it is. I lost hope of them listening to their old members when the pet conversion happened. I miss the old days, back when I was a kid and had lots of cute neopets plushies and played the card game, but that's over. I barely think of neopets as the same site.

Ehhh.... I really doubt TNT would actually care though :c If they cared they would have noticed their BBB score and general complaints ages ago and would have done something about it by now~

Not trying to say don't try, just don't be surprised if nothing happens down the road heheh

What do you mean by "restoring neopets to its past glory"?

I don't think it's TNT's problem, now everyone has apps to play and facebook games. I don't think Neopets can be restored, things just change.

And btw, everyone thinks that everything was better at the beginning. Scrubs was better when it started, Big Bang Theory was better on its starts, Pokemon was better on its starts everyone says that new species sux and are ugly, n so on...

The thing is, neopets is actually better market-wise than it ever was back in the beginning. There are dozens of neopets knock-offs, pet sites that follow the standard "create a pet and paint it" format, and you notice that none of them are really anywhere close to neopets popularity back in the day because games have changed so much that format no longer works.
