What does Abrosia do if proxy becomes invalid?

Apologies if this has been answered somewhere before, but I couldn't find it via search.

After resetting my router the other day, thus giving my PC a new IP (yes yes I hadn't bothered to set up a static IP), my PC was no longer in the list of authorised IPs for my proxy (it suddenly required me to login when I tried using my browser with the proxy, until I updated the authorised ip).

In this situation, where a proxy goes from being valid, to essentially being invalid in Abrosia's eyes, will it throw an error, or will it continue to AB using your standard IP if the proxy doesn't work (and it has been scheduled to run).

Really hoping someone tells me it throws an error...

Thanks in advance!

I'm talking out of my butt here but...
I'm pretty sure that Abrosia shuts down since it continues to try to connect to neo via the proxy.

If it can't connect, it stops.

That's what I'm hoping but be nice to confirm it. I didn't see Abrosia throw any errors at the time but I don't it was running, it was just on and waiting. It would be a pretty crazy piece of design if it reverted to normal IP if the proxy failed but I thought best to check.

Best to ask Waser Lave or Shadowlink64.

Yes Ivysaur- Pretty sure this is what happens.  Just try using a proxy that doesn't work like something random: 80.80.254.99:9000

At least that's what it should do.

What if I'm behind a VPN but it fails? Will it continue to use my normal IP?

Are you plugging the VPN directly into Abrosia?

If not, I'd guess that it keeps going.

If it's one that's system-wide then I imagine it would use your normal IP.

Not directly into Abrosia, no. I just use it as a general thing. Well, good to know anyway. Thanks. :)

Abrosia will do whatever your normal browser would do in the same situation.
