I have a sick feeling the Brutes didn't take this one.

Over/Under that the obelisk gets opened to find some new neocash thing?

No offense but I'll be kinda glad if they didn't, if only because the brutes had one (more than one?) of the people that took down the sumbitch by themselves. It's a little daunting, yanno?

I've been expecting nothing at all beyond crappy everybody-already-has-a-ton-of-these prizes, a trophy that went to anybody who so much as clicked a faction, and a redesign for Tyrannia. I wish they'd stop wrapping up these art updates in repetitive events so you didn't know what the functional result was going to be.
Maybe they'll surprise you this time.
Spoiler
After the lack of surprises during the past... what is it now, 2 weeks or so? I really hope they come up with something good to make all the boring battling worth it. Otherwise it would be very disappointing. Then again, from what I hear from others disappointment is something I'd better get used to when it comes to events like this, though for now I still have hope they'll be wrong this time.

I was okay with The Faeries' Ruin, to be honest. There were cooperative elements, you actually had to DO stuff, it wasn't so insanely repetitive as this, happy Sage was happy. But that account got frozen, so all my hard work (with the exception of the charisma charm) went pbbblt and I've been itching for a good plot ever since the Krawk Island one disappointed the hell out of me.

I'm more worried about the lull we're having right now. 2 days of 'surveying the scene' aka TNT consolidates the numbers? I'm not an expert on human psychology, but a cursory glance at the boards would tell you a lot of people have lost interest in this plot/battle/whatchacallit, and I don't think TNT's doing itself any favours by leaving a gaping hole where there was at least some fighting to be done. At least the BD's open, but as of now, I'd really like to get this event over and done with so I can await a new one with faintly unrealistic expectations of greatness.

well, it's no longer linked on the bottom of the news page, so I'd say this is over - all that's to come is some prize shop, a remake of tyrannia, whatever... *shrugs*

It's best to just forget it and be surprised when something happens ![]()
I don't believe the history will actually take different directions depending on which faction won so who knows why they're taking their sweet time.

Well the battledome doesn't self heal after battles anymore.

I thought it wouldn't matter much too, but according to the news it will make at least one difference in that the winning faction gets to open the obelisk. Whether that translates into some kind of benefit other than just the honour of being the victors remains to be seen. However... why is it taking so bloody long to do the tallying, if that is all they're doing?

They have to find a manipulate the results in a way which will suit what they want them to be and also be plausible.

Do you really mean that? Are they manipulative like that or am I not getting something here? I'm hoping the latter!

They also always take at least a few days to "tally things up" because for some reason it takes them more than a couple hours to make the computers do the math.

I just want the results to be out! The battle thing was boring (at least for me since I don't have really good BD pets) at least give us something soon!

Every plot is like this, but each time it feels so agonizingly long!

Any chance for an update on the finish/ prizes for tomorrow?

I'm not betting on it being resolved before April.

This war was such a let down.
In fact, it shouldn't even be called a war.

No, it didn't feel like a war to me either. The video's introducing the factions were so good I thought it was going to be this big, exciting event. Then it turns out to be this long slug of battling one opponent after another and nothing else! Now we've been through all of that and they can't even tell us who whon yet and get it over with? I hope that it's not always as dull as this, or I won't have much to look forward to!

^ The longer they take to 'count' the results the more it makes me think this might have been correct. They have to find a manipulate the results in a way which will suit what they want them to be and also be plausible.

I wonder what on earth they could possibly gain from that. Maybe finding a way how to best please most of the participants to avoid ragequits or so? Ugh, never mind. It's not as if discussing it can actually do anything about it. I just want them to get the results out asap and if they are tampered with I'll just try not to think about that possibility too much. Right now this Negg Festival started so at least I have something to keep me occupied for a minute or so ![]()

Seekers probably had like five people from the neopian population so TNT has to conjure up some empty wins

yea. I fail to see what they gain from 'pretending' to count the total. I also fail to see why it takes them so long to post data that has been likely kept track of on a server.
