Somehow it feels weird with the Prize Shop open and all... and it's not over yet?
I don't mind either way but this is taking so long, I can't imagine anyone is still excited. xD
I'm literally screaming for joy can't you see MY tears tdn

Checked in on this topic to see if anyone still had a shred of enthusiasm left. Guess not. Can't say I feel any different. Whatever they're starting tomorrow, I'll take part only because there might be another avatar or theme or so, but unless they come up with something besides battling opponents it'll be deadly dull.

Since the Battleground has a spot on the map I feel this might be a static event.
This will give a chance for battledome folk to fight and try to win boons which they'll have access to for the truces. Maybe they'll randomly select teams to fight every couple weeks and one just decides on a team they want and go from there.
Or I'm completely wrong and the Battleground will soon have as much use as the War Memorial.

I share the same thoughts, but the way it's worded: about war breaking out again, makes it seem like that whole war thing we went through was just a "Part 1"? So maybe that's why TNT felt they needed to clarify about that prize shop being "locked in" if you will.

Still haven't picked my prizes yet. Hope they don't silently remove the shop =_="

They always announce if they're removing a shop.
It would be very stupid of them otherwise.

the prizes aint that fantastic either, anyway a new part of the war has began. Not much excitement left from the first part though

From what I've heard so far it seems that the Seekers and the Order are the most popular. Not that it seems to matter much. Guess I'll pick Seekers again.

I'm going to bet good money that the next phase of the war will be 2-player.
1. Having already designed six waves of challengers for the war, TNT is unlikely to make more new challengers again. On the other hand, recycling old challengers that we have already defeated is going to seem lame and lazy.
2. If TNT were going to go back to 1-player battling, then it doesn't make sense to arbitrarily restrict us to 3 factions (at most, they should only have removed the Sway as an option to prevent double winning). This new move to limit us to 3 factions makes more sense in the context of a 2-player war which might give rise to coordination issues unique to 2-player battling if there were too many factions.
3. The war was meant partly as a means to test out Battledome beta on a wide scale. The 1-player aspect has been tested, but not the 2-player aspect.
4. This is the message you get on the war page: "You've chosen sides, and that has consequences. It looks like a lot of Neopets are interested in fighting you soon, so you might want to get in some last minute training." That is a weird phrase to use if we were going to get fictional 1-player challengers (it would be more natural to use a phrase like "new wave of enemies"), but it makes sense if TNT were referring to actual Neopets owned by other players.
So, are we going to get our very first 2-player war event? ![]()

Sounds logical. Either way, not looking forward to any of it. How long will they make it last before wrapping it up and coming up with something more interesting? I was looking forward to Daily Dare which was either skipped or postponed. What's next?

I just noticed something:

The corner banner says feature. My guess is that the war is definitely over. At this point this'll become justanother daily (or weekly or monthly) to keep people BDing. Features are referring to new dailies just like the Negg Cave and the Faerie Caverns.
With that said, I think the people who battle now just rotate and there are 6 avatars for each corresponding factor. The cycles of mindless battling is just another ploy to get people to battle more and stick around. You have to win with a certain faction to get an avatar on top of getting those boons. I'd kill TNT if my guess is true. I hate repeitiveness. I even use a Daily Do-er to do all my dailies for me.

As an avatar collector, I seriously will kick a kitten if this is true.
Also this is really really plausible, which makes me all sorts of annoyed.

If you really must, kick it my way. I'll shower it with all the love this event was supposed to get before repetitiveness brought it to its knees.

the oracle must have been really bored to do it as a daily. like just chilling out of the obelisk and stoning for an entire century
