So i am using a paid proxy and when i enter the IP Address/Port  i get the following error "The HTTPWrapper could not connect to the proxy you specified, or connection timed out."

Well i know the proxy is good as I've tested it with chrome, but as soon as i try and run it in Abrosia it wont recognize it. Any ideas as to why?

Hmm, or can anyone least tell me what browser Abrosia uses in the background to access the neopets website?

Yeah I'm using a paid proxy and I get the same error. Must be because it requires a password.

EDIT: Found a solution through searching. If you have a proxy from http://www.bestproxyandvpn.com, login and go to "Authorized IPs" on the left menu. Autodetect your IP and it should work without needing a username and password, allowing Abrosia to connect.

edit: tried above (proxies from same website) no dice.

    edit again: I gots it:

    from here: http://www.bestproxy...st-proxies.html

if you are going to use your proxies for bots running on a different computer click "add new IP" enter the IP of the remote computer in the "Authorized IP" box, enter some description in the box next to it and click "save" so that proxies will not prompt you for username/password when receiving request from your remote computer

In my case, what I did is that I got my computer's IP, entered it in the Authorized IPs section and clicked save. Then I tried the proxy ip I put in abrosia and it worked.

Bringing this thread back from the grave because I have the same problem with every proxy I'm trying to use and see no solutions.

Seriously, though, if your proxy requires a password to access, you can't use it with abrosia.

I don't have a proxy with a password. I tried using 5 or 6 different proxies straight off of google and had no luck. Where should I be getting my proxy for it to work?

That's not really the same problem. But regardless, I'm sure someone will be along shortly to point you in the right direction.

Myself, I have no idea ^_^

Well could anyone give me a suggestion of which proxy(ies) to use that aren't giving them this problem? I don't really care which proxy I use.
