I sent a ticket once and receive the answer 2-24hours. I'm glad I got the avatar early in my spinning and now I never have to deal with it again.

I went out with friends just now and just leave it open and spin. Still no sign of stopping and neopets website is extremely lag for me now. I have no problem with other websites. I will leave it for another hour then I will switch off my computer and go to bed.

My mistake... 5 hours.
Well over 7 hours now and I am going to sleep soon. I think there are problems with the website too. Has been extremely lag for me. I cannot even open any of the games but other non neopets websites are working just fine. Maybe that is why it just keep spinning.

The one time mine took that long (5+ hours) was when I got the avatar. Never said I got it, just an error message eventually .. but when I checked it was there. Most of the time it stops in 2-3 hours from my experience.

Way back in the day when I first started playing, my parents limited my online time to 2 hours. I don't think it stopped within that time period a single time, haha.

I still remember when i was younger, i used to never be able to wait the full length XD i would accidently close the tab or something like that. And when i finally learned to run it overnight, I would only seem to ever get the beat in the lair thing...
