I've tried messing around with the MS Pre-haggle (which I assume is what affects the buy time)  time but the buy time always averages out around 500-600 ms.  I've had it set up as high as 1-1 sec and as low as 0.01-0.01 sec and the buy times are still the same.  Am I doing something wrong?O_o  My goal is to achieve a buy time around 300-400 ms.

Some other background info:

I have the rest of my settings set up as recommended in Scot's guide

My attic page delay is from 0.1 - 0.3 sec

My internet download speed is on average 12-14 MBPS

I live in California

That's...not something that i think can be handled. It's more of a latency thing than anything else tbh. Maybe you could try different timings to see the amount of latency you face?

I don't know how often I have said this but you download speed has nothing to do with your buy times (except for maybe a 56k modem), only your ping is important.

You can make sure no one else is hogging your internet connection while you autobuy (no torrents, etc), other than that I have no idea why it's so "slow" for you.

My ping is almost always less than 30 except while I'm streaming some shows or online playing other games.  But I had tested my buy times with just abrosia on only, which still yields an average 500-600 ms.

I suppose I could try messing around with the timing some more and see if anything changes.

    Why do you say that?

That's not quite true but I understand what you're trying to say. Usually a high download speed equates to a low ping anyway but you're right that you can have a high ping even with a good download speed. In my opinion a lot of people would probably benefit from checking if their DNS lookup is unnecessarily slow and perhaps changing to a different service like Google Public DNS or OpenDNS if it is.
