I have found the last couple of days it's not buying anything and missing a lot. In the settings I have it set to refresh between 51 - 05 past the hour. While I was watching it tonight, I noticed it checking the attic at 25 past the hour. Is this normal? Does it usually check randomly and then only refresh non stop between 51-05?

 

Has anyone else noticed a decrease in overall buying in the last week?

Actually, the more I look at it, the igloo is the problem and not the attic. It's not buying anything in the igloo AT ALL. There's no misses, no buys. I watch the igloo restock and nothing. Usually I'd buy up to 10 items but now nothing, not even a miss.

The Igloo may be restocking but everything is below your profit margin so it's not trying to buy anything. As for the AAA, I don't understand why you're refreshing at 05. The attic restocks at 52-52, I keep mine around 51-53.  Sometimes the AAA doesn't restock for hours, I've gone at least 2+ without any buys or misses, meaning that it either isn't restocking or it's restocking and things are below my profit margin so it wont try and buy them.

 

When you say "past the hour", the AAA restocks every 7 minutes, so it should be checking (with your times) at 51-05 seconds past the time the AAA will restock. 

 

The AAA is very competitive so it makes sense that you'd be missing items often. I've never even hit the cap for total items you can buy in one day from the AAA.

Cheers for your response. I saw a post a couple of days ago and I think it was Strategist that suggested setting the AAA restock to that, so I given that he is from Australia and has a good rep I figured I would give it a try. I feel like a dolt though because I assumed that it was past the hour and not seconds eg 12:51-1:05. Makes sense why I saw it checking at the time I did.

there seem to be an update on the restocking system in neopets

the main shop doesnt seem to be stocking new items when it is not full

i remember the shop will stock when it is less than 24 last time

now it waits for it to be under 18 to stock

but it can stock new items for shop to hold more than 18

that is what i observed

this is espeacially true in the stamp shop

the shop now holds 19 items at most but it hardly restocks

 

edit:

I did lurk the rs and chat boards recently

the users were in the same shop and did not see any rs too

one of them also mentioned that there was a change in the system

but no one elaborated so i am not that sure if it is what i observed

Okay tonight I was watching it again, abing in the igloo and aaa only. I would watch the igloo restock time and time again yet it would not attempt to buy anything. This is highly unusual for me. I have profit set to 10k and have never had an issue before. Is it just a case of only junk items being restocked or is something amiss in abingville?

rs junk is a high probability to me, i've set lower for the profit margin and as soon as i changed it, boom bought one item off igloo with low profit. i guess igloo is not stocking any high value items recently

I've observed this pattern too in the past few days. I've not noticed more than 19 items in the stamp shop at any one time. No wonder I have been getting far fewer restocks at stamp.

I sat in Spooky Petpets, it had 20 items, got a restock after about an hour or so and it was worth 1.5mil.

 

I sat in Spooky Foods, it had 19 items, got two restocks back to back after about 20 minutes worth about 50k.

 

I sat in Neopian Post Office, it had 22 item, got a restock after about 45 minutes worth about 800k.

Yeah, not seeing it either. I've seen Spooky Food amongst ohers restock is 20-23 items quite a few times today alone.

Wow Yung, nice profit there. I've not had such luck ever but I put that down to my connection and the amount of people rsing in the main shops I like to frequent. Part of the reason why I have only been doing igloo and AAA lately, 15-50k profit items tend to add up when I am lucky enough to get them.

 

Tried again last night and after two hours some profit items started to come through, maybe they have changed the rarity of the restock items because I've definitely noticed a drop in buyables compared to say the last 2 weeks.

Maybe i am just in the shop at the wrong time

 

but dont you think the rs is a bit slow for the shops

spooky foods rs quite often if it has 19 items last time, but you had to wait for 20 mins

 

also just like trey said the post office always seem to have 19 items

last time if it has only 19 items

i will get a lot of misses and successful buy within an hour, but now i get none or one only

This is happening to me now since I switched to a manual AAA list, says buying in the igloo then restarts, did it three times in a row but no misses came up and plenty of items which were being bought by someone because the item count was going down.

 

Does Abrosia support a manual list in AAA and using the DB in igloo or will this mess with things?

It's a problem that I have noticed only in the Post Office. I have been monitoring it for the past few days and have still yet to see the Post Office stock more than 19 items, even in the wee hours of the morning (for US players).

 

If you could make a screenie of the Post Office stocking 20 or more items, that would be great

Isn't it a good thing through, given more space for restocking stuff? Take it with a pinch of salt but i think i've seen 22 in the office once

If the maximum number of items that can stock at the Post Office is 19, then there is less space for stocking stuff, so I'm not sure what you are talking about.

I haven't had luck with the AAA before, only main shops. I have pretty good luck there.
