People have been frozen just for mentioning Codex on the boards and in NMs, so no, it's not safe at all. People tend to be report-happy.

I had named my guild Codex of XXXX and got an official warning for using Codex. Guessing Codex and Neocodex are filtered now.

Which sucks because 'codex' is a freaking awesome word in general ![]()

Pretty sure it's bots, I got a warning for saying readit (in stead of reddit) in a neomail.. I was in the reddit guild atm, but they've just made the filters a lot stricter for practically everything

I was informed that using Codex of ____ is not okay as Codex is related to cheating. -TNT

Bit harsh to also filter Codex. I thought Codex was actually a thing from way-back-when?

You mean... a real word?

That could be what I meant, yes.
For some reason codex reminds of Pokemon. ![]()

Yea, don't do it. If you want to mention a place for price-checking say that you got it from jellyneo's itembase

Mentioning jellyneo on there can even cause problems -- they don't like people talking about 3rd party sites in general it seems. Only "sanctioned" fan sites from what I hear.

Nope, you're wrong SL. JN is now acceptable due to it being part of their Official Neopets Fan Sites ![]()

isn't jellyneo considered as a 'official fan site thing' through?
i love how tdn trys to shelter the inner parts of neopets from the outside world like its some kind of plague

You're allowed to mention JellyNeo and a few other fan sites now.
As for Codex, it would be interesting to see what happened if people started using the word in its proper context to see if they still disallow it.

Guarantee they would. It's probably part of an automatic bad words list. Once you say it, BAM! warning/suspension/freeze.

Thanks for the responses guys; I guessed as much.
We should come up with a code for Neocodex that TNT cannot ban - maybe "NC"? They can't possibly ban that since it is the abbreviation for Neocash as well.

Actually people do use NC as a subsitute.
I've had traders haggle with me using "price checks from NC and JN" so that's a good way to get under the radar.

It'll avoid the automatic flags but obviously if they actually saw it they would almost certainly know what it meant.

Yeah, well, use common sense, right? xD
When I use prices from the IDB I just say "from other non-neo sources".

Yeah,
I wouldn't risk it at all. No point really.
