Wasn't there a controversy like this at some other convention (actually it might have been last year's E3) that no one remembers nor cares about now? Because I bet in a few weeks this incident will share the same fate.

I didn't find it offensive or even really rape-y. I think a lot of websites were pushing it for hits and attention.

The second "rape joke" consisted only of the woman misinterpreting what the guy says. All he does is comment on her use of the projective, and she thinks he says "this" instead of "those".

I don't think there's anything wrong with what was said. A-ok in my books. 
EDIT: Realized that this is the debate forum, and should add some justification. The phrase could have referred to anything in general. People jumped to the conclusion that it was rape he was talking about, and not just some general "bad experience" that she'd just have to endure until it was done. Could have easily been one of those harmless things that you say to someone, only for it to be completely misconstrued.

No this is not a rape joke and I don't understand it.
Gamers say that to each other, always have since I was a kid.
I would say it to a guy or a girl.
NOTHING was inappropriate about it.
