Hey Codex; the following data I collect may or may not be used in a future contest so please think of everything you can.

What online multiplayer video game(s) are the people of Codex currently playing or have played in the past? I'm looking for online multiplayer games over ones where you huddle in your cave playing, by yourself.

My list thus far is:

WoW

DoTA

TF2

Call of Duty

League of Legends

Starcraft 2

CounterStrike

LoL

Halo

Solforge

Minecraft

Terraria

Age of Empires

Planetside 2

Warframe

Left 4 Dead

Guitar Hero / Rockband

Mortal Kombat

Tekken

Killer Instinct

Battlefield

These games may extend across any console, of course PC's and Mac's are included.

What type of contest this will be shall remain hidden until the appropriate time comes ...

There's a new counter-strike out, called CS: Global Offensive in which many thousands of people play. I play that game all the time.

You can play skyrim online with other people in a competitive mode?

So is this a favourite video games thread or what we're currently playing? Hehehe

Pokemon Heartgold/White 2 but X is probably gonna fill this spot soon hahahah

Touhou - Double Dealing Character

Kirby Air Ride

Animal Crossing: New Leaf

I have no idea what good multiplayer game/s you could use for a competition though lmao, like all I can think of is what you and Yung listed? And the newer Pokemon games have online battling and shit. I guess those would uh be good since they're casual and I'd assume a lot of people here play them ┐( ´ Д ` )┌

It's a "Post your favorite online multiplayer video games that have a competitive component" thread Thank ya' for the ideas .

League of Legends, only game that has many to keep my interest after 2+ years. I also enjoy playing Solforge, its a TCG, may get replaced by Hearthstone when that comes out though.

Maybe you should edit the title of this thread then since its a bit misleading~

Thank you for pointing that out to me =] The inconsistencies of the topic and the body have rectified.

A few of my favorites:

Minecraft

Terraria

Age of Empires (kinda revived with the new HD edition.)

Those are great! How long does the average (multiplayer) AoE game take?

It REALLY depends on your playstyle and the type of the map. A game with newer players can take ~2 hours, while more advanced players will usually finish in under an hour.

I guess that could be considered a multiplayer game, so why not?

Only if other people are touching themselves at the same time.

What if multiple people are touching that one person??
