The registration system on neo is kinda broken. You can try using one of the sister sites to sign up (they're all connected), so making a monkey quest account, also creates a neo account. (I have tried this, and it does work.)
Sometimes a name is taken on one of the sister sites, but not neo, and when you try to use that username to sign up on neo, the process doesn't let you finish it, because it's already taken on a sister site.
~Welcome.

The names being taken on sister sites might of been the problem cause the names i was trying to use were from books/tv shows so i kinda expected them to be taken anyway. I wasnt aware the account names are shared across sites though, thanks.
