Did you guys have an immigration lawyer help you through the process? We were considering hiring one.

No, we did it all ourselves, with lots and lots of research.

That's awesome.

Luckily I'm excellent with government paperwork, so maybe we can do it ourselves too.

Two girls at the same time

OK, no, not really, there's no chance I could satisfy any women.

I don't even know if I've improved or gone back a bit or what hahha

HehehH looks like my post about school is invalid now because of things and stuff o-oops (ノω\)

Other than that uuuhh, I guess my art is improving a bit!! Like I was doing stuff like this last year

Spoiler

aaand now I'm doing draws like this~

MY STYLE HAS BEEN SO INCONSISTENT AFTER ALL THIS EXPERIMENTING THOUGH its super frustrating!! Especially now that I'm looking through my doodles/etc and thinking "wow this looks better than what I do now" hahhh..... ;_;

I just finished Elin's commission and it looks like this

Spoiler

like I did an actual background so that's improvement! Like I've been doing a lot of backgrounds this year which is a pretty big thing since I've always avoided them, same with hands. And I did another background but... never actually finished it because cobblestone is my mortal enemy

Spoiler

But I've been doing mostly quick MS Paint doodles this year rather than doing proper pieces :0 Like the black and white thing in this post took maybe a quarter of an hour to do? Maybe?

I guess next year I'll try and make more things in IllustStudio/SAI and actually complete them or at least do more than just doodles hahah, and try out different programs

Goals for 2013:
  • 52 book challenge!

  • I went from overweight to underweight over the last few months, so I plan on actually eating healthily and creating a reasonable exercise regimen.

  • Reaching capability to create and maintain both meaningful and long-term friendships and relationships (UNREASONABLE GOAL)

  • nope

  • not really

  • negative progress

I didn't really have many resolutions last year, basically just to pass year 12 and get a decent OP, which I've done. Not because I don't believe in them, I was just too lazy.

So for 2014, my resolutions are to:

Go to bed at a decent time, and get some decent sleep.

Actually go after promotions and people and stuff I want in life.

Keep in touch with the friends I don't/won't see often.

Practice le piano. Often.

Stop pulling eyelashes.. maybe this'll be the year  :)

Trichotillomania? This should be on my list as well, I wish I could stop, but it's so hard D:

Awkward. I have it too. THIS IS WEIRD.

So I guess I'll make that one of my resolutions too even though I'm not really bad.

It's actually very common for girls/women, probably more than it's reported. I've heard studies as high as 20% of girls pull or pick. What do you pull, Em?

I pulled eyelashes in 5th grade which is probably why they're so short now. Now, I just pull at my hair when I get really stressed but I'm pretty good at stopping myself.

That's good. I've been pulling my eyelashes since I was 6. A few years I'd been able to stop enough to grow them out ok, but then I start up again. I'm easily stressed.. I also think I'll never be able to grow a full set again, will probably have some bald spots. Ah well.

I think we should add "try not to be stressed" to the list. I feel ya though. At least there's fake eyelashes!

Totally! Yeah I wish I had the time to put some on everyday, though. I'm not good at it, haha

Yes! :) And for me it's eyelashes mostly, sometimes my eyebrows as well, but I'm trying really hard to stop that. It's a lot easier to draw on eyelashes than eyebrows and have them look realistic-ish xD

True! Yeah I used to pull my eyebrows a bit as well, gladly I've stopped but now all my lashes are gone, ahah.

None of that crap that was hidden was needed OR contributed to the discussion in a useful way. So it was hidden. Also, both parties have been verbally warned for baiting each other. I would appreciate if those involved could PM each other on their opinions, instead of publicly voicing dissent against each other. It's much more productive if you can talk things out via PM. However, if said parties do not wish to acknowledge each other, you can always put them on ignore in your user preferences. With that being said, back on topic please.

Another resolution I have is resisting the temptation of eating unhealthy foods when I otherwise wouldn't.

But what's Neocodex without petulant, off-topic bickering?

We're going to be changing this from now on. People want to 'bicker' off topic? Do it either via PM or in Chit-Chat.

I didn't make any resolutions last year, but I've got some achievable goals this year, so here we go:

- Program a small game from start to finish

- Make cross country varsity

- Go to state for swimming (near miss last year)
