My buy rate using the default settings is right around 75%. I am extremely happy with this!

However, I've also created an item list for magic (I know, I know I've read about how it's not as safe to AB there) My buy rates for magic are much much lower, I'd say around 5%. For example last night, I missed a couple of Draik MPs and a few of MPs that go for over 1M, but I did happen to grab a Yellow MP (I forget which one).

My first question: Should I use faster refresh and buy times for magic? (I know I have more of a chance of getting frozen, but I'm using a neighbors internet for it, so I feel fairly safe that it would only be that account to get iced)

My second question: Does Abrosia automatically go for the most expensive item first? (For example if the Draik MP's and the yellow MP restocked at the same time, would it know to go for the Draik?)

My third question: Is there a limit to the number of items you can put on the list, and does it affect the speed of Abrosia at all? (Right now I think I have 200-300 items on the list).

I'm sure some of these questions have been asked before, but I was looking for and threads that might have the answers and I couldn't find them!

Any answers or links to threads with the answers would be greatly appreciated!

#1 If you're not really bothered about account safety and are going for bigger buys in shops like magic you'll probably need to use faster times to be able to get anything.

#2 If you're using a list it'll go for whatever is higher on your list first so you should order the list with the highest profit items at the top.

#3 I don't think there's any set limit and any performance hit on a very large list should be negligible.

1: What are your times right now?

2: It goes for unpriced for me, but yeah - most expensive.

3: No, there is no limit :)

Waser beat me to it :p

My RF rate for magic is dangerously high.

    1. What are your buy times?
    2. Yes it does, lists go in the order you make them
    3. There is not a limit, however the items at the bottom of your list will take longer to get processed the longer your list is probably not noticeably though

Your success rate is lower in magic just because it is a highly competitive shop since the profits  are so high so there are more people with the chance of buying it before you

    1. I'm still using the same times as the defaults, so I can definitely lower them if I'm not worried about losing an account.

    2. So the order of the list matters? For example my list is in alphabetical order, so that's how it will buy items?

    3. Okay, great!

    Thanks for the quick answers!

    Right now my:

general delay is between 8-10 sec

pre haggle delay is 1 sec

OCR page delay is between 1-1.4 sec (I'm not sure what this delay is... could someone explain?)

OCR page delay is part of your buy time.

It's all luck. I got a kraal mp the first time I autobought in magic just yesterday using default settings. Just stick with default and you'll be much more safe.

what's a kraal? is that new species? :o

General delay is how long Abrosia looks at the shop page when not buying an item, before refreshing to check for a restock.

Pre-haggle delay is how long Abrosia looks at the shop page when it has found something to buy, before it clicks on what it wants to go for.

OCR page delay is how long Abrosia looks at the buy page where you would usually put in your haggle amount and click on the "find a neopet" picture, before finalising the purchase.

Times as in what comes up when you purchase something with abrosia the xxxxMS

It depends on the settings as well as the latency with the servers and your computer

If I'm in the attic it buys right around 500-600 MS...all the other shops it is right around 2000... are these times good/bad/in between?

I understand refreshing too quickly can result in RS ban, so I'll probably leave that one alone..I guess i'll try playing around with the OCR and Pre haggle!

Thanks for all the info everyone!

Those are pretty standard buy times for regular shops

This guide should be really helpful http://www.neocodex....-to-autobuying/

Towards the top is a section called buy times that will guide you on were to try to place them. Like nitro said you will have to purchase advanced membership to do that or wait until you earn advanced+

Attic times are lower because buying an item there is only a single click - no haggle page, no need to humanise with a long delay.
