Meh, I care about things around here and react seriously to the implication that I don't contribute.

Oh, we're meant to be serious here? :p

In that case, as you know, most of those things you mention are beyond my remit and not my responsibility but the ones which are within my remit are progressing well, thanks for asking.

I don't think it's in your nature to be serious, either. Which is quite surprising since you're a northern monkey.

All publicly announced and discussed within announcement threads.

The first and last points have both been discussed in IRC by members of various member levels.

These discussions happen and take place outside of designated threads.

He's also not the only person to point out that these changes have been promised and promised yet nothing has happened. Which is typical Codex.

Clearly I said "A lot of these things" not "ALL of those things"
But thanks for dropping in this month to put your two cents where it isn't wanted, Yung :)

Nobody has ever demanded anything *right now* :p

I think everyone has been pretty patient considering these things were announced nearly 5 months ago and no visible progress has been made on some of the biggest parts :p

Random question...

So how much rep can a person give each day? and is it per day or per 24 hours?

Rep wasn't meant to be a "like" button but it does seem that's been how people use it since I've been here :p

I also think it's more than 5 for Retired users? They'd know better than me.

whats the difference between "rep" and "liking" isn't it showing the person you agree with their post?

Please feel free to correct me.

Rep, I believe, was originally implemented to be given to posts that provided a contribution to the forum, that people found useful.
Like a guide.

Not like "ahahaha you told her good! you're hilarious! +rep" but like I said, reps have been thrown around pretty loosely as long as I've been a member and as Sweeney said, before that as well.

So if it's a pointless thing, why not do away with it and/or make it into an actual "like" system?
