The Official Flight Rising Discussion Thread!

Since registration opened for one day and a bunch of us got accounts, I thought it would be good time create a place where we can all discuss the game and ask questions! Games can be confusing when we first start off so this is a place to help us all get started and continue playing together!

I'm going to include a list of guides and tools for anyone who needs them. Feel free to discuss whatever you'd like (dragons, coliseum, games, and whatever else your heart desires)!

If you have any links to guides that you found especially helpful then feel free to PM me and I'll add them to the list!

Tools:

Color Range Tool - Simply input the ID numbers or the breed/color/gene details of your two dragons and voila! You will be able to see the range of colors possible for their offspring, the gene and breed chances, and you can save all the information into one shareable link!

Thanks to @Sweeney for creating these great tools!

Scrying Workshop - Compare two dragons to see if they're eligible to breed with one another, see the offspring possibilities, and preview all breed, gene, and color combinations.

Use Color Range Tool and the Scrying Workshop for best results. You can see the offspring possibilities with the Scrying Workshop, but you will be able to see the different colors and the chances of getting a certain breed or gene with the Color Range Tool.

Guides:

Basics:

New Users Guide

FAQ and Answers

Coliseum Grinding Guide

Basic Coliseum Build Guide

Making Treasure

Advanced:

Gathering Reference List

Familiars Guide

Battle Stones

Coliseum Monsters and Loot

Coliseum Leveling Guide

Again, if there's any guide that you found helpful that I missed, feel free to PM me the link and I'll add it. Otherwise, feel free to ask any questions and discuss whatever you'd like in this thread!

That's always a possibility. Personally I hope so.
This will do in the meantime though. :p

Hopefully one day! For now, I thought this would just be a nice way for us to chat about it.

OMG YASSSSSSS *twirl weave around in the air*

This game took over my free time. I do agree we should have a subforum soon, but the problem is that only a handful of people in Codex made an account during the registration. If the game is 100% public, we should definitely have a subforum. I wish I made more accounts though. I didn't think I would be so interested, but then I Coli whenever the place loads and I'm one day away from my first ever batch of eggs hatching.

It's so exciting when your babies hatch. I always get so nervous that they will be ugly and I'll have to exalt them.

I haven't see this question answered in the guides or most likely I didn't look hard enough:

Does the Clan Energy Bonus continue to reward daily if you maintain your energy above 80% consequtively, or it is just awarded every 3rd day?

I think it's every day that you maintain it because I've gotten the rewards two days in a row.

lol that's a good question. I just kind of distribute randomly but focus more on strength and vitality. @Strategist might have some good advice for this?

    Depends on your aims.
For levelling and grinding in 1p, most people go full strength or intelligence plus 2 movement per level up to 40 movement.

For raising a two-dragon team designed to level exalt dragons, you want to go to 50 movement, I believe.

    That's basically it.

One more day until my female Coatl can breed. The only problem is that both of my nests are full. Boooo, buying more nests. I don't want to spend all my treasure.

IMPORTANT FOR ALL NEW COLISEUM BATTLERS

Augment Stones for the Coliseum, the ones that buff your stats, DO NOT DO ANYTHING.

They are currently borked, so don't waste any money on buying them ^_^

I've never used more than three at once, I'm pretty sure that only buying one extra nest would be sufficient for a long while.

Do all species babies turn into their adult form a week after they've hatched? I know there are different waiting periods for species breeding wise.

Also I hope the site gives us a bit more to do soon. It's kinda boring to me with all the waiting for eggs to hatch and there's only so much Coli I'm gonna do manually.

This says at the age of five so five days, I think? It doesn't say anything about specific dragons taking longer.

Yeah, you're right. Plus, I've become somewhat of a dragon hoarder so I'll probably need three nests.

Are they worth hoarding if I find them willy-nilly?

It's less about being worth hoarding and more about not being worth the effort of auctioning them. I don't think any of them are worth much, because there are millions of them - no one is using more than one or two on dragons before finding out about them being broken, so none are leaving circulation.

So may as well leave 'em, in my opinion.

Good point. I didn't think about that.

    woooo so cool!

since I'm kinda force into downtime for a while, I'm so going to get my 75k a day manually \o/

And since I'm a crazy hoarders, should I buy more familiar, or just try to get them in the coli? (I have yet to get one, but apparently most of them can be found that way...?)

I managed to amass a massive amount of them during the testing phases of @Sweeney's Coli Autoplayer and have just sold them all from my hoard (keeping some of the more valuable stones like Berserker, Field Manual and Ambush) for face value and managed to get me 247K just from doing that.

Doing this also takes them out of the economy too.

Why can't I use some of my abilities during battle?

I have Mana Bolt (the pink one) and I have different ones for my other dragons but I'm never able to use them. Or, when I can use them, it's very rare. Like I've probably used each of them once.

For things like Mana bolt and the likes, they use 'breath'. If you don't have enough breath built up, then it won't allow you to use it. The only way you can 'make' breath is to use other attacks to do so (or the Meditate ability, if you have it).
