Hold on a second - is it a 24 hour period we're doing this over, or longer?
If it's based on the previous 24 hours, then surely you'll be scoring people on whether they achieved 100 posts by 23:59:59 PM on Sunday evening. I'd assume that this is how the Top Daily Posters part of the board works, at 00:00:00 on Sunday it will tick over and only count posts for after that period.
It would make sense if the period was as follows
00:00:00 Sunday
23:59:59 Sunday
Right? Why in gods name would we count posts right now?

Needs clarifying.
24 hour period at any point on Sunday. So it could be the 24 hour period leading up to 1am on Sunday, or 24 hours prior to 11pm Sunday. As long as you have 100 posts as some point on Sunday.
So longer than a day. ![]()

So it's not a 100 post day, it's a 100 post day-and-a-bit-probably-more-like-2-days?

I'm pretty sure the Top Daily Posters page is based on forum (server) time rather than local, so using this as the counter at 23:59:59 server time would be the only way to accurately determine who achieved 100 posts over the 24 hours...

The rules are simple - all you have to do is reach 100 posts within the previous 24 hour period sometime on Sunday the 4th of May.
says nothing about a single day just within a 24 hour period. your post count will start going down after 24 hours from your first post in the time period (i think)
Say you start posting at 12noon on Saturday and you have from then to 12 noon on Sunday to get 100 posts after 12 noon on sunday your count will start to drop if you don't continue to post? Right?

If these are the rules then that's fine, but someone will need to be checking the Top Daily Posters list pretty frequently in order to check who's achieved 100 posts at *any* point on the Sunday, as it will fluctuate all of the time.
I post 50 posts @ 8:30:00 AM Saturday
I post 50 posts @ 10:00:00 AM Saturday
On Sunday @ 8:29:00AM the page will report me as having 100 posts
On Sunday @ 8:31:00AM the page will report me as having 50 posts
so in order to get any accurate results the "Top Daily Posters" page will need to be checked very frequently.
I suppose it's not that big of a deal, but it's sparking some discussion, so that's good, right? ![]()

pretty sure they are not. because I can wake up having not posted since 6pm my time and I'll sometimes still have like 5-10 posts on the list (not that I stalk it or anything)

from what I can tell it doesn't reset all your posts, it looks like it goes by the hour? So for every hour in the day you have a 24 hour period from there.
How about on Sunday if you reach 100 posts you take a screenshot and send it to @Sweeney for proof? But he practically lives on here and doesn't sleep anyways ![]()

I was thinking that - sending a screenshot would make sense - anyone sending in a fake could be easily detected.
It still counts as posts over a 24 hour period, but I just think it's ripe for the potential of missing some people's posts. It'd also be really good to have a list of who posted the post on Sunday posted as "results", y'know? ![]()
That way we could have a list of the winners.
