I didn't really know how to word the tittle, so it may be misleading.

Basically, my roomate hasn't played neo since we were kids, but when he saw that I was and learned about this website, now he has interest because he can get the stuff he wants without a lot of work and enjoy the site more.

That being said, We would both be using the same ip adress, is that going to red flag both of us if we are both doing the AC thing and occasional ABing?

How much do you care about your accounts?

Ehh, I know its not the end of the world If I'm frozen because I can get trophy's and np super easy.

I just would rather not be frozen because I lose my site event trophies.

    and my pet.

Is it something we shouldn't do. I don't really want to pay for a vpn for one of us to use.

Basic rule of thumb is that if you like it and don't want it iced, don't do anything that will get you iced.

It just depends. Yung and I have done a lot of accounts on our ip, and haven't had any of them frozen for cheating. We cheat more on the liberal side, but we also don't care about our accounts, so it's no big deal if they ice us. But some people will get chain iced. It's like roulette.

I can just do the abing and such to keep it safe unless he really wants to go hard and buy a VPN for himself.

But say he wants to score send on his account for the AC while I'm not, or even if I am is that noticeable I feel like TNT should almost HAVE to take into consideration that people do play games from the same ip adress.

Welll.... before this AC, I'd say don't worry about it. But TNT was talking about new precautions and stuff, so I don't feel comfortable telling you it's on the safer side anymore.

I guess I'll wait to see before i allow him to do anything that could red flag us until we see what tnt has done to stop us.

When I was young my Mum and I used to play pretty much on the same PC including flash games- we were fine. But then we weren't cheating.

I'm just not sure if we would get ip banned or what.

I don't want to lose my account, but I can make another one just like it in a week or 2 if need be. Just being ip banned would suck because then I would have to invest in a VPN.

How frequently does Neo actually implement an IP ban? Just curious, if anyone knows.

This I'm not sure, and I don't think it happens all that often unless you really push it.

I don't want to find out though.

I got IP banned once or twice when the account cracker and birthday cracker were still around.

As long as you both aren't being super careless and aren't transferring NP to each other, you might be somewhat safe.

My boyfriend and I both live together and play neopets on the same ip address. And nothing has happened yet. But they might ip ban you if they catch one of you do something wrong.

At first this was about being roommates with Neo from the Matrix.

    It's less interesting now.

Let's be clear, here. An "IP Ban" is when they put a blanket restiction on your IP range that freezes all accounts associated with it and prevents users in that IP range from registering again, or (sometimes) accessing the site at all.

It is not just freezing all accounts associated with an IP. That's just a chain freeze.

It's also important to note that only very rarely does Neopets enforce a full IP ban as mentioned above...

Do they still IP ban? It happened once to me, but this was when main shops still restocked on a time base system. At least I believe I was IP banned. Couldn't make new accounts and if I made an account on a proxy and then logged in on my IP the account was iced shortly after.

I've heard stories about them still doing it, but only for extreme cases. No proof of that, however.
