Neo players get the same (or at least similar) stigma as hardcore gamers I feel. So use the same approach Just ask them "How many hours have you played Sims, Mario Kart, Angry Birds or Farmville?"

I think some people might just find it weird that people still play neopets since most people associate it as a childs game. But it's not really a big deal in my opinion

my boyfriend does the same thing...oh and the field day he had when he saw me playing flight rising! He doesn't understand the point of playing a game if all I do is run cheat programs, I tell him its to make other players' lives more exciting. I didn't pick the thug life, the thug life picked me. (yes I butchered it, whatevs)

Yeah it's not like I spend hours customizing a neohome or putting wearables on my pets for God's sake.

that being said, if someone makes fun of you for playing neopets, ask them if they play any games like farmville, candy crush, dragon saga, whateverthefuckthosefacebookgamesare. IT'S THE SAME. Games are games, who cares what it's called.
