like, i'll start playing neopets and get really into it for a month and then lose interest and never touch it or anything relating to it for another few months, etc. etc.

Oh yes, that's happened to me many times. Now though, I think the cycle has stopped because of codex. I like cheating too much to stop now.

Yeah.  I've been forcing myself to do dailies .... erm,, daily for a month or more now.

Yeah I normally lose interest in the winter and get back into it in the summer when the AC roles around.

Very much this.  I hadn't played in years then for some reason checked on my account still had unpriced shit in my shop and stuff, looked around for ways to make NP cause I couldn't be arsed to legitly do anything after this long lol.  Found you wonderful people and that, as they say, is that   I rave about this place to my hubby (though he just kinda looks at me like I'm crazy for this stuff)

Yep. Codex keeps me around for longer because I feel like I can actually "succeed" in Neopets without having to do any work. But I can never stay around for too long. It gets boring after a while.

although i stay legit on FR, i feel like the FR staff is nice enough and don't really deserve to have their stuff cheated like with neopets

Same. Neopets is always more fun after not playing for a few months. Like a novelty item that wears off

I think that's the number one reason for hiati (hiatuses?) among most people. Certainly me. (Or when I had dial-up, the dailies were too time consuming.)

 

I don't know what kept me going without the DD this year. Premium, I suspect. I run out on August 4, so I may take a hiatus and come back in time for GMC...unless someone is kind enough to alert me to any plots/events/plevents that pop up in between, of course.

I've been on and off of Neopets in the past until I came to Codex.  Now I'm on pretty much every day.

Everyone does this, or almost everyone I guess. The guild members on one of my accounts are hard code. Neopets is so monotonous, no new challenges or features really. And as long as you can't carry it with you in the phone it's gonna continue to deteriorate I guess.

Yeah, same here. I tend to get bored of my routine on neopets so I stop playing for a while. But always go back on

I hadn't played since I was 15, I'm now 21 and just came back a couple months ago. I would check in maybe once a year, sometimes not even then. I'd log in to see if a plot was brewing and of course I always just missed it V.V 

 

Flash games bore me to tears for the most part.

yeah, i can relate to that. been playing for a number of years but i'm never very consistent. it doesn't help that i always found myself getting frozen for weird reasons.

It usually happened every few months when I played legit. Now though I pop in daily due to everything monotonous being automated for me. Yay, Codex.

Sometimes I'll just let my programs run, then log on and find that I don't actually want to do anything. I kinda just like letting my stuff accrue.
